I just found out that Bitwig’s delay let’s you host plugins inside the feedback loop. It’s quite handy for things like you just described. Maybe your DAW has something like it.

Hmmmm... Don't think so, i'm using studio one.
Maybe it's possible to do inside Vaz modular.
But then again, i wonder why i can't find a delay plugin with an envelope before the delay.
If anybody know of one, i would like to know

What i want with a envelope is to fade in the delay repeats to kill the attack of the sound so e.g the consonants on sung words is not in the repeats.
Hard to translate from Danish to english, but hope you understand

Sounds interesting, what "rule" do you use to generate the taps if no feedback?

I am not sure if I understand your question, but taps are generated by number of delays. The "taps" can go from silence to original volume (for example).
