DrivenByMoss: Bitwig extension for many hardware controllers (version 26.6.1)

1. Hi I also have a question using the fire for adding fx. After we have used the browser knob to add a plugin synth. Also how do we navigate to select the plugin to open its gui or add an fx before or after it using only the fire. Is there a right or left key press? so far I still have to use the mouse a bit.
Is there a way to delete a selected plugin? (or just press delete key?)

2. Also when using duplicate mode, so far I can only duplicate one track and duplicate mode turns off each time.

3. Also question or point of observation. I set the fire setting to flip arranger clip record to ON, but there seems to be some controls that could be tightened up ( for inconsistent behavior) for engaging clip automation and overdub vs arranger mode.
Here are the current combos if that helps. Im just wondering if having certain controls under shift with others under alt should be tidied up or not. Is it consistent between both modes? If you think its good I will work with it.

1. I wonder, is it possible to use Push2 DrivenByMoss Poly Sequencer with an external controller, picking note+velocity on an external keyboard and using push to insert them into the clip?
It already receives MIDI data as pads are lit green when notes are played on an external keyboard connected to the computer…

3. A bug. In PolySeq mode, copying a step into another inserts it together with MIDI notes from 0-127. Copied notes are at their original velocity, other 0-127 notes are at 0 velocity.
4. Another bug. At times, PolySeq does not insert the last note, but several last notes (and they keep stacking)
5. And sometimes after setting note length it gets stuck in that mode. You can't insert notes then, as pressing any step keeps setting note end.

Hello everyone, I have read a lot of pages in the forum and I still have a question, maybe someone will be able to advise me.
I use Bitwig with Linux (mint) and a beatstep controller. Unfortunately it's not ideal but it's the only one I have at the moment.
I'm wondering what would be the best choice(s) of controller(s) with this configuration? If you have a recommendation I would be happy to hear from you. Thanks a lot.

Or just which one NOT to chose if you run linux ? I'll continue to search but if anyone have an advice it would be nice. Thank you

I'm getting on quite well (but quite slowly) with my Launchpad Pro mk3 and Driven ByMoss. Ought I to learn the manual for the unmodified launchpad pro 3 as intended for Ableton, or is the DrivenByMoss effectively a complete replacement "OS" which I should be learning instead?

Some things are similar but there are some different concepts and there a much more features. So better read the Launchpad section in the DrivenByMoss manual and watch the Launchpad videos on my Youtube channel:

One thing I hope might be feasible to achieve is to record a sequence (using whichever sequencer: seq, polyseq or raindrops) and the transpose it "live ("on the fly") using one of the note modes. Ideally I would be able to transpose instantly and also by generating a clip containing the sequence and then transpose the clip in the usual timed mode i.e. the next clip repeat is transposed. Do you think this is achievable and how might I go about it?)

Sadly the transpose function is not available in the Launchpad extension. There is just already too much stuff crammed in

HI I adjusted my knob sensitivity to +15 on the Fire which feels better, however I noticed when selected plugins from the browser turning the select knob now skips every other plugin. Is there a way to restrict the knob sensitivity parameter to only user 1 and user 2 control knobs in a future update?

I see. Guess I should remove the scaling from the Select knob.

Also for the 4 knobs in browser mode, I dont think the 4th knob does anything. I also see there is one more menu that can be navigated which is the Any Device type vs , fx ,instrument pane in the bottom left of the browser.

The 4th knob changes the Category. Just tried it and it works fine. Note that you can also use the knobs with ALT to control the other filter columns.

* **Shift + Browser**: Activates the browser mode to insert a device *before* the currently selected one.
* **Alt + Browser**: Activates the browser mode to insert a device *after* the currently selected one.

In device mode:
* **Alt + Select Knob**: Select the previous/next device.

Delete is currently not possible. But thinking about it, it could be done by clicking Select when Delete-mode is active.

That's intentional.

No, that is not possible. It would mean to also configure this other controller via the Push which would block it for other applications.

Concerning 1 – a shame. Block it for other applications, does that include sending midi from this controller through Push?

Uuuh! This bug was corrected some time ago, but it is here again. The SL MK3 does not display renamed parameters correct anymore. It displays only the original parameter names. In DrivenByMoss 10.7.4 all works fine! All newer ones do not.

Take a look at the Generic Flexi which is also part of DrivenByMoss. This should be sufficient for the Launchkeys.

Make sure you have a clip selected and (optional) a Bitwig drum device on the track. Otherwise it will stay black.

This reminds me of getting my first synthesiser back in the about 1982 - a Korg MS-10. I hadn't much of an idea what I was doing but it was immense fun playing and experimenting. I find the same with the Launchpad Pro mk3 (thanks for suggesting it) with Bitwig in that, by a happy coincidence of accidents and attempts, I am being creative without knowing precisely how. The "raindrop sequencer" is particularly good fun!

The Launchpad is indeed full of features and I am not surprised that there's no room left for a "transpose" function. However, I am certain that it must be achievable inside Bitwig itself and my experiments are helping me learn Bitwig if nothing else.

Thanks for your help again. I am trying to learn by your very helpful videos along with my messing around with buttons.
