I don't think I've ever seen audiopluginguy actually criticize anything.
He's just happy to get free plugins.

Yes, and he's kind of ambassador for brands like Kilohearts.
So surely pretty biased.
But his Facebook group has a lot of sales annoncements which are easy to check.

and I'm subscribed to companies I care about or am waiting for a specific plugin to go on sale

I deleted my FB account more than a year ago and have no intention to go back. But I do follow the subreddit. Still prefer KVR though.

I feel like the deals thread is dying. It feels like it is less active and a lot of deals are not interesting for most. There are a few people pushing their own sample sites with the same deals over and over. Also, APD have way too long posts. Like, who reads that. But well, I guess it is what is has become.

I wonder if this is the calm before the (Black Friday) storm.

I wouldn’t bet against it or be the least bit surprised if Excalibur or PhoenixVerb were offered as freebies (with purchase?) at PB.

I already bought both of them months ago for $10 USD each and have no regrets. I paid $29 USD for Trash 2, as well, but that was over 4 years ago.

It seems iZotope has been successful with their “first taste is free” (or cheap) promotions. The few complaints I see about them are usually about their upgrade prices.

I won’t argue that, but as a customer for years, I don’t have any buyer’s remorse.

I think their stuff is generally of at least reasonable quality, but IMO the exponential audio isn't quite up to the standard or their in house stuff.

Was not an easy decision. Had a 4 digit number of followers (or "friends" in FB speak). But you would not believe how much my life has improved since then. I deleted most of my other social media accounts along with it.

Pianoteq 7 was released today, and they're offering 20% off Pianoteq Standard ($240 rather than $299). The new listing and price hasn't show up on other retailers yet, but I'd expect it to be around $215 on maybe JRRShop once it does. Modartt is relatively stingy with sales in general so I'm guessing this is the cheapest it'll be for some time. This sale lasts "through November".

Edit to add: the upgrade from Stage to Standard is also 20% off ($120 rather than $150).

Also, there's apparently a pretty generous grace period for a free upgrade to Pianoteq 7 - I registered Pianoteq Standard 6 back on August 12, and I have Pianoteq Standard 7 in my account now. If you don't qualify, the upgrade is apparently $39.
