Wow. It already is free, which is incredibly generous. You can pay more for a few extra things, and to support the developer.
he said one fee, not free.

hes not looking for a handout, hes telling the dev he could ask for more ;)
Indeed. In reality everybody is going to share these extra presets, plus ask for help on the forum. And the dev is left with selling a handful of synths. Which would be a shame with a product that is creating such a hype.

Alright here's your one price: $80
Everyone else can choose :P

On a serious note, I've thought about this a lot and the amount people spend on software varies wildly, some only will spend $5 here and there and other people buy $1000 pieces of software. I decided on a sliding scale because I want everyone to be able to use Vital. It may not be perfect, so just think of it as market research for my next plugin.

Surely, you know better than a guy who spent 3+ years creating this right?
Sometimes making money isn't the only thing that matters. The pricing is great, whats not great is your aggression.
What aggression ? The KISS principle is the nr. 1 rule in sales, and actually in music production too.
Keep It Simple, Stupid = KISS.
Well, you are preaching about how to price his product, which is arrogant. It is one thing to advise and completely different thing to preach. If you didn't mean it in that way then you may want to reframe your statement.
As the dev pointed it out, he wants everyone to use his synth. At this point it's more about supporting the dev.

Looks like someone associated this thread with Serum. Was that on purpose?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I don't think I can change the thread "About" as the OP. Might be a mod thing?

This is an experimental feature... if you don't care for it you can disable it in your KVR Preferences.

Huge Fan, (check your DM's)

So far it looks like there's no support. That's a tad on the disappointing side. Every other software I use to make music provides support. It's vital in my working process, allow me to explain:

I start up an empty DAW* project with my favorite go-to synth, a bunch of plugins, and save it, and then with a little secret email tricks I get all the different developers to reply to each other until they inadvertently creae tracks, and at the end I sign my name to them.

So even if this plugin is free, gonna need support. Oh well.

there is support, even for the free one

payments give you extra, personal support, direct with the dev....

Paree wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 1:47 pmWhen a developer is being so generous to give a complete synth for free, its only right for you to support the dev by purchasing the full version if you can afford it.
Personally I feel no obligation to pay if a dev offers a free version. My view is that if they didn't want me to have it for free then they wouldn't offer it to me for free, and so I don't feel bad about not paying.
Well, there is no obligation. It is about supporting the development. At the end of the day, devs are humans, they need to have money to buy food as well. That is why i said if you can afford it.

I like what I've seen and heard so far despite having resisted the Serum Sylenth flavors forever (mainly due to not needing them), however the offering seems solid and may be worth diving into.
Have you tried Vital?

Post

Ok this synth im def going to buy. Free would be a stab in the heart of the developer.
Not so important question but, how do the supersaw sounds in Vital?

Post

Does it have a wavetable support?
