There is still some strange stuff going on , it's quit but still noticeable when modulating the filter
Set filter to bandpass 4 pole , resonance to 80 % percent , cut off around 100hz and slightly modulate by lfo , the higher the resonance the nastier the effect
Here's an audio clip

Wooww , here the filter is totally bypassed , just sine osc direct to out
Could it be the engine itself ??

Any news regarding the latest mentioned issue ?
I can not unhear them

What would be the point of emulating old analog hardware if it would produce a perfect digital sine wave? :dog:

Use something like Serum if you want a pure sine :P

Are you stupid or just pretending , you saying they are modelling an inperfect sine , ?
It NOT just the sine wave , it's literally everything that is routed to the direct output not even passing through the filter .
It's un underlying sample rate issue when running at 44.1 Khz , it's always present even when routing just gate or modwheel to the output
The sine wave was just an example to show that these frequencies are (always) present on signals with no overtones , but that obviously went over your head
If you have no idea what you're talking about ,then please shut it or dig a bit deeper before making a fool out of yourself :tu:

TimeWarp uses about 15% of my CPU
CA2600 uses about 3%

It aliases like a pro ( no matter the sample rate )

Here's a file , osc 2 is tuned to 16 and plays a saw at E7 ..NOT synced
Second part of the file , now osc2 is synced to osc 1 ( also tuned to 16 ) , only synced oscilator 2 is heard

And this is how TALmod ( by togu audio line ) sounds , no aliasing at all

Another one
Osc 3(saw) synced to osc 2 ( one octave lower )
Osc 2 set to square and slighty pitch modulated by lfo
Only osc 3 output is heard
First cherry audio , then talmod

Have you compared aliasing to Arturia's 2600V?

Post

I don't have arturia but ca 2800 is one of the worst aliasing softsynths when doing osc sync in the higher regions , the cheap price does not justify this .
Apparently no one from cherry audio have noticed this , nor peter kirn from cdm ..and changing the sample rate doesn't solve it
So yeah draw your own conclusions :)
I spend way too much time and energy in reporting these issues .

Sadly the Synthvoice module of VM also has got the same very audible aliasing going on with osc sync in the higher regions...

Cherry Audio is pleased to announce the release of CA2600 1.0.25 / Build 94. CA2600 1.0.25 now includes the "CA2600 FX" plugin, allowing the CA2600 to be used as an effect as well as an instrument. The filter Resonance slider now offers increased resolution for tweaking near the point of self-oscillation. In addition, we've fixed some compatibility issues with FL Studio and Pro Tools that caused issues for some users, and we've re-engineered CA2600's DSP to operate at the host's native sample rate, eliminating all resampling for improved performance and sound quality. We've also fixed a possible crash for some users running CA2600 in Demo Mode in certain DAWs.

The new CA2600 1.0.25 update will automatically download the next time you run CA2600 (unless you've disabled automatic updating). Or, you can download the update immediately at https://cherryaudio.com/instruments/ca2600/download

The complete change list for CA2600 1.0.25 / Build 94 is available here: https://cherryaudio.com/instruments/ca2 ... on-history

Very nice. I like that enhanced control over the resonance.
In the mean time I went to a store to compare an hardware ARP clone, but only the Behringer Oddysey. It had three different filter options, and it was an extremely small range where you could get a nice ringing before it would switch into complete feedback. But the 12 dB filter on the Oddysey could also be driven into self oscillation. I have no idea how the original 2600 would compare to that, but at least its rebuilt real hardware. My own 2600 is gone long time ago, I can't really remember. I would just turn the knobs and faders and use my ears. I never cared about those details back then...;-)

If you sweep the lowpass filter with a high resonance (96 %) , to a low frequency (100 Hz) you get audible clipping in the low end
Or just set filter to 4 pole bp , 100 hz freq and 96 resoance ,feed a square in the mixer , no modulation and play the lower octaves between c2-c4
Instant clipping

So this is an amazing deal.

My problem is that I'm struggling to learn to use it! Are there any good tutorials, i'm not finding the one at the CA page meets my needs. I'm rather lost
