I accept my opinion is not popular. It is what it is. Just an opinion.Teksonik wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 12:08 amLet's be honest here you could say the same thing for the two you mentioned, Richie Sambura and Tony Iommi. Like I said ask the average hard rock/metal listener if they've ever heard of the three and I'm willing to bet more people have heard of EVH.telecode wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:12 pm lets be honest here. No one gave two shits about him or VH or listened to Van Halen in 20 years other that rural tail gate party folks.
I can honestly say I've listened to a lot of Van Halen and Black Sabbath and own several of their albums but don't give "two shits" about Richie Sambura or Bon Jovi. I'd much rather see Randy Rhoads and/or Zakk Wylde collections.
The point of my post is not that VH were a bad band or made bad music. My point was they were pretty much irrelevant and forgotten until EVH recently died. Heavy metal and Rock has moved on light years since the last time VH were relevant in the genre.
Total # of records released since Hagar left. Name my one song you know and remember from "A Different Kind of Truth"? Did you even buy it and listen to it?
My issue with the artist name branded products is they just come across as a little clingy.OU812 (1988)
