Shared my first 3 preset experiments in the discord group. I'll attach them here too in case somebody wants to try them out.

I may be missing something as well, but I am able to assign Env 2, 3 and 4 to the Osc 1, 2 and 3 levels just fine. Sure it doesn't override Env 1, but as long as Env 1 is left fully open it might as well not exist. I guess you "lose" Env 1 that way, but since there are 6 envelopes to play with plus 8 LFOs that can partially double as envelopes that doesn't seem like much of a problem...Teksonik wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 9:26 pm Maybe I'm just missing something but it doesn't appear to be possible to override Env 1 hardwired to all Oscs. Even assigning Env 2 to Osc 2 in the Matrix doesn't seem to override.

ok, appologies, good to know i just thought i will enter it here as it seems to have thick sound, really loving it.zvenx wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 12:30 am Ahh, we knew this probably fourteen pages ago.
Appreciate never the less.

shame PRO version with additional 150 presets is much more expensive, hope there will be deal to upgrade for us.

Ok that works but doesn't it feel a little wonky? Seems like hard wiring Env 1,2,3 to Osc 1,2,3 would be a better solution as that would still leave you 3 more Envs instead of losing Env 1 and only having 2 left. Or the ability to choose the Env right from the Voice edit box with Env 1 as default leaving 5 more if you need them. Having Env 1 as the "master" Env seems a bit awkward. There is another synth I've used that does this but I don't remember which one off the top of my head.wombat778 wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 12:04 amI may be missing something as well, but I am able to assign Env 2, 3 and 4 to the Osc 1, 2 and 3 levels just fine. Here's three quick presets, a wavetable and an LFO shape:
Ok it's fixed now:
Here's what's happening. If you create a custom folder in this case Teksonik 02 with a Preset folder inside, load a patch from that folder edit it and save it, Vital saves it to the User folder not the custom folder you just loaded it from.

Can confirm. Same happened here but obviously with a bM folder.Teksonik wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:15 am Ok here's what's happening. I fixed the file now.
Yes this isn't the right behavior. The patch should save into the custom folder is was loaded from not to the User>Presets folder.
I thought I was going nuts. I kept changing the patch but it kept loading up with the old values.

It’s not wonky, all oscillators go through the amp which is controlled by an envelope, pretty much every synth behaves this way.Teksonik wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:04 amOk that works but doesn't it feel a little wonky? Well, no.. in a flexible modular environment one would assume you could choose which envelope controls the VCA/amp. In this case each oscillator has it's own volume knob (aka amp) so one would rightly assume the user has full flexibility over which envelope controls these.Dalle wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:34 am It’s not wonky, all oscillators go through the amp which is controlled by an envelope, pretty much every synth behaves this way.
Env 1 is indeed hard coded to all the oscs which is a bit unfortunate but definitely makes it easier for new users. Would be nice if it could be separated and used as a completely unique individual envelope.

Only one of the dozens of synths I own works this way and it's wonky there too.Dalle wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:34 am It’s not wonky, all oscillators go through the amp which is controlled by an envelope, pretty much every synth behaves this way.
In Vital it's not labeled Amp it's labeled Env 1 which is hardwired to all three Oscs Level. It would be better if each Osc had it's own Env that way you don't have to workaround Env 1 overriding the others or waste Env 1 by setting it to not override.

I agree it's a little suboptimal and I would prefer it not be hardcoded, but I think having so many envelopes makes it not much of an issue...just think of it as a 5 envelope synth. I mean, most competing synths have fewer envelopes. I believe Icarus, Pigments, Hive and Rapid all have only 2 general purpose envelopes, while Spire has 3 -- and each has at least one envelope hardcoded to VCA and most have 1 hardcoded to the filter. Even Zebra has only 4 envelopes. I can't imagine running out of 5 anytime soon and if I did I imagine I could hijack a LFO to do much the same thing.Teksonik wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:04 am Having Env 1 as the "master" Env seems a bit awkward.
