Oh, two things:adamtrance wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2020 4:44 amWhats the problem with touch? I dont have any touch monitors I could test it on Im afraid.
-Many plugins (especially older ones), have a slight delay between when you touch it and when it responds. So you either get a jump (making small adjustments difficult) or wait a bit to move it (but might trigger a right-click if that setting is on). Touch friendly GUIs, like those made with JUCE, have no lag at all ,response is instant.
-Also touch friendly GUIs are usually multi-touch, other are touch one place at a time.
I use a Surface Pro as well as a Dell desktop touch monitor and the touch friendly ones are a joy to use. It's like using synths on an iPad. I don't think it's only JUCE that has this compatibility but it's built in after a certain version, whereas I think some other GUI frameworks need it enabled? Not sure. But almost all that are touch friendly are both multi-touch and no lag. However Super 8 from NI which I recently installed has instant response, but not multi-touch. So I guess there's variants.

Lol, if I was to take a guess, last year there was a Christmas sale, so that looks likely.

What important or major features of the Virus TI are not yet implemented into Viper?
- Grain and Formant wavetable types
- Wave PWM
- "Analog" filter which was modeled after the Mini Moog cascade filter with self-oscillation.
- LFOs with 68 waveforms to choose from
- Tape delay?
What else?

Good points, 192 parallel effects as well......might be overkill?anoise wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 10:57 am What important or major features of the Virus TI are not yet implemented into Viper?

How soon, before we can expect new soundbanks using these new wavetables, and other banks?
