I just re-read your message. A lot of the Expansions have drum presets for use with Maschine (hardware and software). Maschine software has drum synths and they sound very nice to my ears.SirKen wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:03 pmIs there any point to owning Maschine software without the hardware though? I have all these expansion packs from the KOMPLETE CE and mainly using them through Battery. I am quite curious if I would get any value just by adding the software.kod wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:14 pm No idea if it's a promotion or a price change, but Maschine 2 Software Only is 50% cheaper at the moment. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... s/pricing/

Often people buy the hardware 2nd hand with no licence transfer so need to buy the software. I imagine its possible to map it to other hardware though you won't get full hardware functionality without the Maschine hardware.SirKen wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:03 pmIs there any point to owning Maschine software without the hardware though? i personally dont think so. but yes, you can you the machine software with just a mouse. you could get a mikro if you really like the software but you dont want to invest heavily in the ecosystem.SirKen wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:03 pmIs there any point to owning Maschine software without the hardware though? Anyone else get the Arturia mail promising 99 Euro prices for V Collection and FX collection respectively, but then inflating the prices when you follow the links?

Have you tried logging into your account and checking your personal offers there? See the fine print under the FX Collection "Shop" button.Darkstring wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 4:35 pm Anyone else get the Arturia mail promising 99 Euro prices for V Collection and FX collection respectively, but then inflating the prices when you follow the links?

There's an automatic coupon added to the total which provides the additional discount. So I think the FX Collection is 399 list price. Then it's discounted to 199 in the sale. Then the crossgrade takes it down again to 99. At checkout, the price next to FX Collection will show as 199 but when you check the total after the coupon is calculated it comes down to 99.

I only own Pigments from Arturia, which is why the prices in the email surprised me. Even if I'm logged in, the lowest price I get is 199 for the V collection and 149 for the FX collection. Unless there's an extra coupon I'm missing somewhere.

I had bought V 7 previously - the crossgrade offered me Pigments for 49 Euros.Darkstring wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 5:45 pm I only own Pigments from Arturia, which is why the prices in the email surprised me. This looks like an interesting deal: a sampler with 77 GB sample packs. 29€ - valid this month.

I tried Zampler, and didn't like it, but maybe that's just me.sl1914 wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 6:17 pm This looks like an interesting deal: a sampler with 77 GB sample packs. 29€ - valid this month.

Are you able to load the synths and sequences in Battery or is it just the samples?SirKen wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:03 pm Is there any point to owning Maschine software without the hardware though? I usually use Maschine without the controller. It's very straight forward and great for laying down quick ideas. Sometimes I mute the instruments and just use it for drum patterns, like a loop library with control over the individual elements. Also, it can be fun to start projects in iMaschine and then use them in Maschine.

AFAIK, It only loads the drum kits (samples). Cannot compare since I never owned Maschine before. Never thought about the iMaschine angle either. It is certainly tempting.Uncle E wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 7:18 pmAre you able to load the synths and sequences in Battery or is it just the samples?SirKen wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:03 pm Is there any point to owning Maschine software without the hardware though? My memory may be failing about the Output bundle. I long time ago, I bought Movement super-cheap here on KVR sell/buy. When Output does it's bundle sales, that would usually be good for $20-$40 off the bundle price.
Right now, the bundle price is $583, but my price is $379. That's a way bigger reduction than I recall seeing in the past. Am I just mis-remembering?

No, I'm thinking as well about getting this bundle. Seems too good to pass. Quite a lot sound per buck.Rajiv wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:06 pm My memory may be failing about the Output bundle. Does "new subscribers only" here mean you're not eligible if you've done their free trial in the past? Or does it just mean "people who are not currently subscribed"? Where is the exact wording?Insanelysane wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:19 pm Loopcloud black friday deal: 3 month 'artist' subscription for $3 plus receive Loopmasters Bass Master for free!
