Some people are having a laugh, that must be it. Again I dont care so much but its interesting how with the bargain thread perhaps people have come to expect margins they havent seen before otherwise its not a real bargain anymore?![]()
Mystery solved then, thanks for that info.ftech wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 1:32 amI got a voucher for Bassmaster a couple of days ago, and I am a subscriber to Loopcloud. The email I received yelled loud and clear that it was a free plugin for being a "loyal" subscriber.Digivolt wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:41 pmIt's even more odd when they specifically email the offer to users who are ineligible, unless they just want to troll everyone with a "look what you could have got if you had not signed up with us earlier"Insanelysane wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:19 pm Its an odd deal, basically the loyal subscribers miss out on a free plugin!![]()
First time lucky as it turned out. If anyone else was wondering about doing the same the Drumazon serials are fine for passing on and not tied to your email or PB account (though it will obviously keep the details against your login on the account page).escalona wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 1:50 amI truly love the 2020 low expectations for everything. Please do share your thoughts on which Waves plugins you think are their best and newer plugins. There are just so many of them. Some of us less experienced folks may not know how to differentiate.Uncle E wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:07 am
I still remember the first time I saw Waves do a $29 sale. It was 4 of their oldest (literally from the last century), most worthless plugins (far below stock Studio One and Logic plugins) and people lost their minds. Now they put their best plugins on sale for $29 and we sell 2 of them.
Ended up going for the full Output bundle yesterday. Those are some resource hogging products!! Minimum CPU usage is around 15% to 20% and I saw my RAM usage go up to 10GB on a single Kontakt instrument. Very inefficient use of resources for the sounds you can get elsewhere. Not to mention, the GUI was laggy even when I wasn't playing anything. Granted, my computer is an older build but I can play Orchestral Tools libraries just fine and the coding in their Kontakt instruments are notorious for being resource heavy.Uncle E wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:49 pmIt's a bigger reduction in the past. Also, Output has a history of raising prices (fixing pricing errors) after a few days, you might want to jump on it ASAP.Rajiv wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:06 pm Right now, the bundle price is $583, but my price is $379. That's a way bigger reduction than I recall seeing in the past. Am I just mis-remembering?
I only use their effects, but I think hardware makes a BIG difference. I was on a 2012 2.6Ghz 4 core Core i7, 16GB RAM MacBook Pro Retina and 1 instance of output movement brought it to a crawl. Now I'm on a 2019 2.4Ghz 8 core Core i9 32GB RAM, and movement barely moves the needle. I don't quite connect that dot, but it is what it is.SirKen wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 3:47 pmEnded up going for the full Output bundle yesterday. Those are some resource hogging products!!
