Collective and Biotek MPE?

First off I'm new here. Not sure if this has been discussed but I couldn't seem to find a key word search for this forum. I'm hoping I am missing something but it would appear both products don't support MPE? I just got the ultimate pack this weekend (gotta love sales) so I'm still very new to the software. I had never heard of traktion until I bought my Seaboard Rise 49
. Tracktion was on Roli's list of MPE compatable DAWS. Any info and tips would be appreciated.

According to this you will still need to load a MPE compatible instrument into Waveform.

Windows 10 and too many plugins

Correct. Roli Equator which comes with Seaboard is an MPE supported plugin. However it only has a handful of instruments. My question was regarding tracktions Collective and Biotek plugins possibility of handling the MPE data that the Seaboard can output.

I've done some checking in relevant places and it appears that the answer is No (or perhaps Not Yet*).
* this is based om wishful thinking only.

I also came to Waveform via the free version I got with my Lightpad Block M, and upgraded to Waveform 9 (soon 10) from there.
If you want some great MPE sounds to use with Roli gear and Waveform, check out FXPansion's Cypher2 and Strobe2. You might have gotten a "lite" version of one or both via Roli, and you may have a link to discounted upgrades/purchases via your Roli account - FXPansion has recently joined Roli, so expect more MPE-friendly releases from them in the future. Both Strobe2 and Cypher2 have extensive sets of 5D sounds that work great with Roli's MPE controllers, so you aren't stuck with just Equator.

Where is the how to for MPE? The manual doesn't mention it at all. A first test confirms the above experience. Pitchbend is the most obvious expression which should work out of the box always, but it doesn't...Ou_Tis wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 2:40 am I noticed that Biotek 2 now has two "MPE On" buttons but from my testing with the Seaboard it doesn't seem to have polyphonic pitch bend yet. Oh well... maybe in the future?
P.S. Ok, I found it. The info is burried in the readme of the installer. It requires an activation in the Instrument editor...

Last time I checked, I just tried F'em. In Biotek the same settings exist, but I do not get any pitch bend in MPE mode. This needs to be fixed and simplified. There are multiple places to activate MPE, its just confusing.
I refuse to call this user error even if it is. Any other synth simply has a single point to switch on MPE. I mean its just pitch you only need to add the pitch bend to the played note per voice. Nothing really fancy...
(slightly annoyed...)

Biotek's MPE implementation feels like an afterthought. Especially if you're using tuned filters like comb filters, you have to set the pitch modulation of those separately for MPE to properly work. If I recall correctly, it's not even an intuitive value for the mod depth. It's like 1.1 or 0.8 or something.Tj Shredder wrote: Mon Oct 17, 2022 3:58 pm Last time I checked, I just tried F'em.
