I'm not understanding 'Swap LR' in DRUMSET EDITOR> DRUM (under the little preview speaker icon).
The info says:
"Swap LR swaps the left and right channels. It is useful with acoustic drums to virtually move the the drum to the other side spatially. Panorama itself cannot deal with it in these cases, because the delay between left and right channels is causing phase issues and spatially moves the drum on its own."
It doesn't per se swap L and R....or perhaps I need to look more at the Overhead and Room mics or something?
Should I enable it after say manually changing a ride cymbal from L to R with panorama?
But that would imply 'only after changing from factory default pan'....that doesn't seem right.
Or should I be just listening for phasing problems and flicking the switch if needed?

I'm not sure what you mean. Anyways imagine you have a hihat sampled on the very left for example, so it mainly gets recorded by the left overhead and the delay is relevant too. If you want to move it to the right instead, simply panorama won't do the trick, since it will sound weird and phasy. But swapping the left and right would work just fine
