FR: I don't know if this would be possible. But is there anyway to use the range tool to highlight a section of audio, then be able to adjust gain on just that section? Basically so you don't have to split the clip to adjust the gain.cheers

FR:
  • With the new selection tool it would be nice if you could select points on a automation curve.
  • A way to reorder channels in step clip would be really nice.
  • Select all notes with ctrl+a when the MIDI editor pane is the focused pane

I brought up a similar FR in my...exuberant step clip FR thread. viewtopic.php?f=22&t=546386. Any editing tools added to step clip channels would be very time-saving.

I've heard others suggest that automation should have a clip-based system like MIDI or Audio, and I strongly agree. The current automation system is serviceable but not as capable as the MIDI system.

Good update btw, some key fixes.

Kubuntu 20.04 - this version crashes with no reason. When i open projects from 11.1.0, some Tracktion plugins load with error, and can't be used.

Hmm. This would allow you to create presets of fades, pitch bends, whammy bars, panning effects, mod wheel tricks, and more, all reusable.

I like this!

And, in theory, stretching or shrinking the clip could increase or decrease the time to fit your rhythm. Nice idea. A third clip option!
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Clip presets, easy drag/cut/copy/paste/duplicate/delete, time-stretching, slip editing, moving automation clips to different tracks, and a detailed pop-out automation editor with tools like the MIDI editor. If automation tracks functioned like other types of track, the user could route one automation lane to multiple parameters, multiple tracks, different tracks, or generic CC messages. IIRC FL Studio functions like this, with separate automation tracks that can be routed freely. It's more intuitive and cohesive to reuse the existing paradigm of clips and tracks instead of using an idiosyncratic, clunkier system.

Easier said than done, obviously, but it'd be a a huge boost to the automation workflow.

Thanks for the update. Now if I open the plugins, everything works fine ...
A suggestion...
I really like Master Mix because it allows me to have excellent results.
Could you insert a mix/master assistant into Waveform? It would be very useful ... Thank you!

FR: Is it possible to bring back the behavior of input that it is armed for recording after i put it on another track?

Post

FR dept.

• More colo(u)rs for clips. Or shades of gray. Or textures, or icons — anything to make them more identifiable.
• Relatedly: more informative clips. I don't want to have to switch to the properties pane patterns tab to see the chords in a chord clip, and I don't want selecting a clip to cause its name to disappear.
• Orthogonality for the panes. Some of them resize the workspace when they appear/disappear, some don't. This should be consistent, and, ideally, selectable.
• The Track contextual menu should have Hide and Disable.
• The LFO Assignments tab should allow adding and changing assignments, not just removing them.
• Relatedly, every knob in the modifier pane should have an input field.

You guys should consider exposing a few more variables and standard functionality trough macro scripting (like a getBPM() function or something, a Loop toggle and length for selected clips and ways to set start and end times for the midi editor view without having to use the one zoom function there is to name a few examples). I find that the ability to script behavior sets this DAW apart from others in the positive sense, but the API seems very incomplete.

Post

Please add the ability to trigger scripts via MIDI.
