I got an email today offering an upgrade deal from the free version of Waveform to the Pro Basic version for $35 which I thought seems a good deal. I'm still on Waveform 8, having bought versions from T6 (starting with an "Ultimate" package) onwards, but as a hobbyist I found the upgrades seemed to be getting pricier so I stopped there. The upgrade option for Waveform 8 to 11 is still listed as $110 (or less with the code Cyber Monday code).
Anyway, the short question is, can I as a user of (paid) W8 upgrade just the DAW for the same price as the upgrade for the free version, or do I have to go through hoops like downloading the free version of Waveform 11 first, before upgrading to Pro?
Cheers
Quick question on upgrade options?

I don't work for Tracktion, but Brian there cut me exactly that great deal years ago: I went straight from a free version of 7 straight to WF9 for the upgrade price. I'm hoping this note peer-pressures them into offering you the same great deal.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

If you install de free version and then upgrade this will be unlocked the next time you start waveform. You don't have to install again (and the additional items will appear in your downloads).

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and downloaded and installed Waveform 11 Free and... from initial looks it appears to do pretty much everything my old Waveform 8 did, and has some new features of 11 like sandboxed plugins, which is great. The previous paid for extras like Melodyne, Master Mix, Collective, DAW Essentials seem to all work fine in it. So the Pro version presumably adds Auto-Tune, the Chord Track, additional layouts etc?
Thanks
