Tried it thanks.. didn't fix the problem though.
Whats weird is, the sequener swallows notes regularely, when I let it loop, always at the same spots. Only on 2 tracks which have different notes (but all these notes start one the very beginning of the part). Could it be sending note on-s before it sends the last note offs for some weird reason?

Post

Start a thread in the eXT support forum with < BR > in the title. That's all I can tell you, as I haven't had this problem.

Is it normal that the ruler in the sequencer shows a different count that the ruler in the pianoroll editor when looking at the same part?

HI

Man, I missed the boat on this one :dog: .

Flipper.

The value appears to be doubled in the midi editor.

Post

its times 4 here. shown to be 4 bars long a part is 16 parts long in the piano roll.

Btw there seems to be a midi timing problem, I shortened the notes in my parts a bit, and now the first note in the following part will play fine. That shouldn't happen though when the notes are snapped to grid and don't exceed the previous parts :|

anyway.. couple weird things.. still very useful, hope it further improves, would love to work more with it.

Like I said, you need to post these as bug reports as the questions will likely not get answered in this thread. I tried to adjust it & didn't see how, but I had a double value, not a quadruple one..This seems to be a feature, not a bug.

I'm not big on manuals myself..Sometimes my french toast tastes pre-digested..

There's a manual...?

When I dl'd the demo a while back there was no documentation at all. Tried to figure it out. Managed to get VSTs loaded and hooked up to a fader. Couldn't get the latency down to a playable setting (asked about that on the EXT forum but the replies I got didn't help).

Then tried playing with the sequencer.... for about an hour..... Got nowhere at all... Stopped..! Gave up.

If someone could tell me where to get the manual, I'll try again. I hate giving up on things, especially when something like this gets so much praise from users who have managed to figure it out.

Maybe I'm too dumb. But then I've been a Logic user since it first appeared on the Atari so maybe that's screwed me up.

:-o

consider i wanna use this sfotware as my main and only sequencer.

thanks.
Let me start off by saying eXT is the bomb. However you asked What's NOT good about it.

If you do any work that is not in common time (4/4) it can be tedious. If you do any work that has tempo changes you will have to do it somewhere else. Both of these things are in the works, and Jorgen is CONSTANTLY coming out with improvments/enhancements (last up was a full on native sampler). There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE why everyone here shouldn't purchase this, specially since you can run the VSTi or VSTe version from within another host!

WTF? Double clicking in notes fast? Like, faster than single-clicking? Sheesh, the note-editing in eXT is just light-years behind that of, say, SX.

So yeah, I have to second CreepJoint's comments about the midi-editing. I find it limited, clumsy and slow. This is my biggest problem with eXT.

Obviously it's a killer app, though.

Double click OR alt + single click. But for drum programming, I think Step mode would be fastest. Using arrow keys + Ins/del keys...(the Piano roll turns into a spreadsheet)

go play with yor pencils n4b!
selecting pencils, arrows and that shit in sx is what I call slow and stupid......not to mention the awful clumsy sx editing windows.
as jorgen says the alt/ctrl keys are your friends(like in anoy other app)....so if u wanna improve yor user experience learn to use'em .
once EXt improves the audio sequencer and adds a sample editor......then sx is just a redundant sequencer and only a retard would continue using it over ext.
