I'm just thinking out loud here.

imo there isn't a good simple chainer plugin available that would have good macro capabilities. The more i play with the Meldas (to figure out what to buy over Cyberweek), the more i'm impressed at sheer possibilities they offer.
Built-in FX are great and all, but we all have some favourites - being able to combine them inside MXXX to make crazy macro devices would be just :hyper:

this will in now way affect my decision to get MXXXCore, i just thought it's a neat idea.

Doesn't happen because there would be no reason in buying melda plugins anymore. There are rumors though another company will offer something like MXXX with 3rd party hosting and modulation options... :D

Oh yes, good point :)

But i wont swap my fav <insert processor> for Melda just to use it in MXXX either tho

Where did you hear that roumor and who’s doing that :o

Ye that would be awesome, even an MMultiRack as a separate plug-in, i think it will invite lots of other people in the Melda ecosystem.

It could come in a bundle with MXXX or Instead of it, so Melda isn't going to loose anything. Same price for MXXX and at least with a few Melda plug-ins.

The issue is how much time Vojitech is willing to spend on such a modulating-chaining plugin.

I think compatibility with other plugins (VST2, VST3, AU) will consume a lot of time and research.
I believe VST2/3 implementations vary, and hacks are abound. To support popular plugins is one thing, to support esoteric plugins will take a lot of resource for not much gain/many customer.
Then there's the issue of communicating/modulating with other plugins without DAW's midi interface/host. Another time sink.
Basically anything involving other people's product will be a resource/time hog whenever you desire compatibility, for example, Windows :(

However, if Vojitech does spend the resources into research and compatibility, what will he gain? How many are interested in this split-able chainer with modulation capabilities? How many aren't already using Metafilter, Bidule, Gigperformer, etc., and especially MB-7?

Cost/benefit analysis says no, he's better off spending time into other fields, such as all-in-one Mixing/Mastering solution like Ozone/Neutron, where there's a dominant player but competition isn't too heavy.

I'd like additional resources be spent on HorusAnd and Chandler for more devices, videos, and better presets.

I'm really hoping that mix revolution will replace the need for ozone or Neutron or nectar in my chain

Same, nothing against Izotope, but the version upgrade cost is really **ing it, if not for RX...

The best part about buying mxxx's once you do you own everything forever including new stuff that comes out

There are not many effeckte that are missing in MXXX. On the other hand there are plenty of effects that can be combined wonderfully. That is enormous! But I can understand this wish, I would love to use HRTF in MXXX. But we can take a detour. For that we got the many inputs and outputs. Then there is also the MCCGenerator with which you can control 3rd party plugins. You only need a DAW with easy/clear assignment of inputs and outputs. In the ideal case you can create feedback routings. This is one reason why I wanted to get away from FL-Studio. But with Patcher it is super easy to create such devices. In Reaper it's indeed possible to create your own devices with a graphical interface. But maybe other DAW's can do it as well (bitwig is modular, isn't it?).
There are some chain plugins with their own effects, but honestly, is there anything better than MXXX?

Thank you folks!

And yes, nothing has changed. No 3rd party hosting is planned, since it is a dead trap for development :) ... and we have everything already ;). Not mentioning using integrated stuff is definitely (by far?) more effective, plus compatibility etc...
