Purge unused audio files at once - How?

After rendering several tracks together as one, etc... while building tracks within an edit file/song, there are often many no-longer-used audio tracks still in the bin.

Is there a way keep all audio tracks on the edit timeline but purge those no-longer-used tracks in one swoop :?: 8)

Thanks, Mike

Yeah there is a way. Just go to the project tab and highlight the project you're working on, then choose "Find Orphan Clips". It'll give you a list of all the clips not used in the edit. Be careful with what you delete tho cuz theres no turning back once they're gone. You can choose to delete the file from your computer, or just remove the clip from the list.

And be carefull that after deleting one or several orphan files what you see is no more orphan files, you have to click on 'find orphan clips' again... else you will delete your 'used clips'....

It costed me an almost finish song to learn that....

A simple button to remove all audio files not used in an edit would be a powerful feature.

I think the way it is now is great cuz it lets me remove the clips or delete them completely.

What really needs a lot of improvement is how it is displayed. It looks exactly like the regular project window. It should be red or something to let you know you're in delete mode. Also I hate how it jumps back to the project window right after you delete anything (which is what Ixox was talking about). But after Jules sorts those things out find orphans will be very good IMHO.
