If the base product is free, everything else must be free? By that logic, all DAWs (and other software) that offer a free version are also severely overpriced and sheer profiteering.

And of course you can charge what you want for your labour and the market will determine if it is worth it.
But surely if I paid Matt $80 for 3 years of work with over 400 presets, unless God himself created them (and I am an atheist) I wouldn't be spending (half of that) $40 for 100 presets... ever.
But that is my personal choice.
