It seems to be a marketing strategy. They don't want to pretend that it's a sale. Under the guise of a "mistake" they later will be able to say that Generate was not meant to be for a such a discount. But the strange thing is that - one after the other - all retailers go for €39/$39 the first few hours and then back to the normal price. First it was Plugin Boutique, then Best Service, today it's Thomann... Let's see who's next...
It looks like a kind of "secret" flash sale...
Anyway: if it is offered at this low price and you can buy it legally, then I would do it (again).
This piece is really very good and I can only recommend it to everybody...

This is definitely not a sale or a strategy, it's a top notch f*#k up. We're playing whack-a-mole trying to get all these retailers on the same page.

For me, Generate wasn't even worth the $39. Something unpleasantly raspy in a lot of its patches and otherwise what I heard in the demo videos was unimpressive. Cool idea but it didn't seem to "work" sonically.

yeah it wasn't for me either but a lot of people really like it a lot.

For me, I don't care too much about the idea, but about the sound a synth can generate (yeah...), and it may the best soft synth in this regard, it simply sounds fabulous. also, it's only VERY rarely when the sounds are not only great, but present a new and a unique palette which you've never were exposed to before. no other synth sounds like this (one can identify its character also in a dense mix).
