There is so much good stuff about at low prices I (personally) find it hard to justify paying for something like Omnisphere.

A bit off topic, but in a short period of time I've had 2 potential buyers show interest in buying Studio One 5 Pro and completely ignore me after I respond with how to proceed. One specifically wanted to pay without the goods and services so I said that I'd take the fee and that he should use it. Never had something like this before, anyone else experienced the same thing and should I worry about it?

I had the same experience with a Waves plugin. Maybe he is a hacker collecting emails? Creepy...

Maybe, idk? I guess there are easier ways to do so. I have 2FA on most stuff so I'm quite safe

Thomann.de and thomannmusic.com have Generate for around $40-50 USD (depends on VAT).

It seems to be a marketing strategy. They don't want to pretend that it's a sale. Under the guise of a "mistake" they later will be able to say that Generate was not meant to be for a such a discount. But the strange thing is that - one after the other - all retailers go for €39/$39 the first few hours and then back to the normal price. First it was Plugin Boutique, then Best Service, today it's Thomann... Let's see who's next...
It looks like a kind of "secret" flash sale...
Anyway: if it is offered at this low price and you can buy it legally, then I would do it (again).
This piece is really very good and I can only recommend it to everybody...

Out of curiosity what's the benefit of subscribing to the Beat Magazine like this (or via one of the electronic magazine sites) vs via plugin-samples (as all the extra content they advertise there seems to be the stuff that comes with the Magazine anyway).

For me, Generate wasn't even worth the $39. Something unpleasantly raspy in a lot of its patches and otherwise what I heard in the demo videos was unimpressive. Cool idea but it didn't seem to "work" sonically.

My first impression from the demo videos was that it generates interesting patterns but sounds lo-fi and harshly "vintage" in ways I would almost never want to use, and also lacks dynamic movement (volume-wise). However, generous amounts of the excellent reverb and delay make it sound much smoother. And you don't have to use the Pulsar (vintage jumps), Discharge (lo-fi), and Turbine oscillators (leaving Double Pendulum and Vortex).

It was correct on the dealer page and Ray also followed up about it before the sale started. It was a simple mistake that anyone could make and you all took more than the sufficient steps to deal with it. This is on them.

It's great for people who want to get great sounds quickly. Eric Persing is such an amazing sound designer.

The recent Trillian update gives it synth functionality like Omnisphere. That might be a nice way to step up to it, particularly since Trillian works as an expansion for Omnisphere when they're used together.
