There is so much good stuff about at low prices I (personally) find it hard to justify paying for something like Omnisphere.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:37 amSeriously? Omnisphere? Serum?...maybe you mean thats all you're will to paySHall1000 wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 7:00 pm Strangely, $40 is probably the market value for any vst synth these days!

Maybe, idk? I guess there are easier ways to do so. I have 2FA on most stuff so I'm quite safewangeroge wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 1:48 amI had the same experience with a Waves plugin. It's like in the film Brazil, when the beetle falls into the typewriter.DGillespie wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:28 amThis is definitely not a sale or a strategy, it's a top notch f*#k up.paolostylo wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 3:23 pmTomgu wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 3:04 pm Thomann.de and thomannmusic.com have Generate for around $40-50 USD (depends on VAT).
It seems to be a marketing strategy. They don't want to pretend that it's a sale. Under the guise of a "mistake" they later will be able to say that Generate was not meant to be for a such a discount. But the strange thing is that - one after the other - all retailers go for €39/$39 the first few hours and then back to the normal price. First it was Plugin Boutique, then Best Service, today it's Thomann... Let's see who's next...
It looks like a kind of "secret" flash sale...
Anyway: if it is offered at this low price and you can buy it legally, then I would do it (again).
This piece is really very good and I can only recommend it to everybody...![]()

Out of curiosity what's the benefit of subscribing to the Beat Magazine like this (or via one of the electronic magazine sites) vs via plugin-samples (as all the extra content they advertise there seems to be the stuff that comes with the Magazine anyway).khanyz wrote: Mon Nov 30, 2020 6:34 pm d16 Nepheton is included with the latest issue of Beat Magazine. German version is out, English is usually a few days later.

Pitty, that the HB stopped offering Vegas Pro - I purchased the ver 14 via the HB, would with pleasure upgrade it.erikgyle wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:24 amThanks!Lotuz2019 wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:19 amIt's ACID Music Studio 11, not Acid Pro.erikgyle wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:07 am Current Humble Bundle includes Acid Pro 11 and SoundForge Audio Studio 13 (plus additional software and content) for $25. My first impression from the demo videos was that it generates interesting patterns but sounds lo-fi and harshly "vintage" in ways I would almost never want to use, and also lacks dynamic movement (volume-wise). However, generous amounts of the excellent reverb and delay make it sound much smoother. And you don't have to use the Pulsar (vintage jumps), Discharge (lo-fi), and Turbine oscillators (leaving Double Pendulum and Vortex).JerGoertz wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 7:19 am For me, Generate wasn't even worth the $39. Something unpleasantly raspy in a lot of its patches and otherwise what I heard in the demo videos was unimpressive. Cool idea but it didn't seem to "work" sonically.

It was correct on the dealer page and Ray also followed up about it before the sale started. It was a simple mistake that anyone could make and you all took more than the sufficient steps to deal with it. This is on them.DGillespie wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:28 am This is definitely not a sale or a strategy, it's a top notch f*#k up. It's great for people who want to get great sounds quickly. Eric Persing is such an amazing sound designer.SHall1000 wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:53 am There is so much good stuff about at low prices I (personally) find it hard to justify paying for something like Omnisphere.
The recent Trillian update gives it synth functionality like Omnisphere. That might be a nice way to step up to it, particularly since Trillian works as an expansion for Omnisphere when they're used together.

Exactly why I like it
Sounds straight from the synth can be a bit unpredictable, but some bouncing and cutting and gluing around will make magic
