PieBerger wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 3:52 pm I'm not really getting a 1,000 LFOs vibe from this; there are plenty of other synths on the market if you want that sort of thing. I'm more interested in how it sounds and whether the limited feature-set is well implemented, resulting in a streamlined and fun experience!
Exactly ! :tu:

When I first looked at the full gui I saw the "Hypersaw" section and thought "Cool, I wonder how that will sound? Can't wait to give it a try".

Other people looked at the full GUI for the first time and thought "Ehh only one LFO".

That's the difference in mindsets.
I don't care about Super and Hyper shit :hihi: I hate that sound...

When I scanned the GUI, the single LFO simply struck me. But I understand that adding more would mean increasing the GUI size.
And as I said, personally I don't have a problem with one LFO.
In Retrologue I have 2 monophonic and 2 polyphonic LFO's, but never use more than one at a time, 2 in rare cases.

What also struck me was the the FX parameters. Will the labels change to meaningful, FX-dependent ones in the final version?

Exactly.

"mindset".. Jesus H. C.

(not a comment on the synth, looks cool and sweet, simple UI, great price-point)

The GUI is very dynamic and has lots of animation. All labels in the synth that make sense change the text when you tweak a knob. This includes also the FX section.
There is also context-sensitive help that explains what the controls do

one ASSIGNABLE LFO. One parameter labelled LFO on the GUI.

Markus gave a cool reply, why are you, a simple KVR member like us, being so obtuse when nobody is saying anything untoward about the synth?

it's one assignable KNOB, for four LFOs, not one LFO. why be so obtuse when someone is trying to explain something?

Dude, take a chill pill, thank Christ you're not the dev.

So malarky. Such formatting.

Delicious downvote, that told me.

you said there was ONE LFO, i pointed out there were FOUR LFOs, controlled by ONE knob. why are we still discussing this? and what are we waiting to see?

meanwhile, have owned most of the tone2 synths. icarus2 is one of my go-to's. so am excited to have something new coming from markus...

I am waiting to see how it is implemented because what you describe sounds unusual and I don't see it on the GUI.

Markus Krause wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 4:17 pm Noone here still has been using this synth so far. You should wait with conclusions till you have used the product and built own sounds with it.

- The speed of all 4 LFOs can be changed.
- 3 of them can also synced to BPM.
- The waveform of 3 of them can be changed.
- One of them can be routed freely to many different targets. The routing of the others is fixed.
markus, who has created this plugin, is probably a reliable source of info about it...
