Everything downloaded pretty quickly here but I probably got in before the rush.

If you have the iLok License Manager or a Hardware Dongle and manage to get everything downloaded and installed could you please let us know which form of CP it requires ?

Did you check what format the IRs are in? Can they only be loaded in Inspirata?

Didn't see loading third-party IRs mentioned in any of the feature lists.

Naturally the lite version lacks all the features I'd be interested in.

"Lite Edition is [...] A stereo reverb workstation which includes a 9 GB room content library of sampled spaces.

INSPIRATA Personal Edition is a stereo reverb workstation providing flexibility never before seen in sampled reverbs. It allows the user to [...] finetune the parameters and position the sound sources and the listener in the selected space. The size of the default room content library is 135 GB.

Professional Edition is an immersive reverb workstation with an extended feature set, providing flexibility [...] finetuning parameters, and positioning the sound sources and the listener."

Sorry I didn't think to check before I uninstalled the package. I think the IRs were installed it just wouldn't load the VST 3 since it was asking for iLok.

If I were to wager a guess I'd have to say the IRs are probably locked to the product but that would just be a guess.

I'm in the middle of downloading it. I think.

DRM is iLok. Authorization code is in your account on their website. Plugin can authenticate against iLok Cloud or be installed to an iLok key version 2 or greater. No local host activation.

To be fair, this seems intended for orchestral and post use so it's competing against Altiverb and Vienna MIR. From what I gather a hybrid of impulse response and modeling. What's interesting is they seem to be encouraging spatially moving the sound sources around in realtime. I'm imagining an orchestra with floating sections.

Edit: They also emailed the iLok activation code. You can redeem it within the iLok License Manager App. You get 1 activation seat.

Well I got nowhere - it stayed on 0 and then timed out - the downloader app seems buggy

Do you think it would work on the iLok License Manager application ? Is that what you mean by "no local host activation" ? I have the manager installed on my studio computer but I don't have anything registered in the iLok Cloud. Or at least I've never had to try the cloud.

I imagine the website is getting hammered by the KVR rush and crush for the Free version. I am certainly guilty of jumping on it right away. :hihi:

Yes, in iLok License Manager go to Licenses > Redeem Activation Code and paste it in. It'll ask where you want to activate it to. If you leave it in your account I believe it should be authorized as long as you're logged in. I don't actually use iLok Cloud (I put things on a key if machine-based is not allowed) so not sure how often it asks for authentication.

I restarted the app and it seems to have fixed itself. It managed to download the plugin in a half hour, but the roompack is estimated at 4 hours.

Funny thing, the app does not actually install the plugin. It just downloads the relevant setup files which you then run to do the install. 64-bit VST3 and AAX only.

Ok thanks Yellowmix. I'll have to ponder if I want to install on my studio computer.

Yes it is strange that even with the "Inspired Acoustics Connect" you still have to initiate the install from outside the program.

Kind of makes the whole app seems like unnecessary fluff since they could just allow us download the content from a link on the site. But such apps seem to be all the rage with developers these days.

They fail to realize they don't operate in isolation and if every developer required download managers or license managers our systems would be bloated with dozens of them.

Can't complain about a free plugin though.......

Roompack says it's at 11% but the Roompack folder on my drive is now 7.58 GB. It's supposed to be about 9 GB total... and now the download rate at the bottom has disappeared, implying it's stopped.

I haven't finished downloading the Roompack, but it looks like the format is .room so probably locked.

Wow! Inspirata sounds awesome, and it's not terrible on the CPU...but it's not a 'budget' solution to step up to, for sure. They are VERY generous to provide 37 environments for free though and I can definitely see the allure.

So now the downloader app has tried to update itself but failed 'There was an error during the update process. Please restart the application!' - restarting the application just takes me back to the same message, redownloading the application I find that this is still the same version I'd already downloaded so I get the same message again. The whole process has been one fuckup after another. First I tried to register on their site but the code I was sent wasn't being accepted by their server so I had to write to them to fix that, which they did. Then I had to register the serial on iLok - at least that part worked. Then to download the downloader app I had to switch to Chrome because their server wouldn't accept Safari for some reason, and even on Chrome I had to right click on the download link and save as - and then Chrome decided it was a insecure download and tried to delete it. Never been through so many hoops to still get nowhere!

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble. I think it might be a good idea for everyone to get their free reg code then wait a week or so before downloading and installing. Maybe the rush will be over by then and they will have time to work out the bugs.

That's what I'm going to do. If things are still a mess by then I'll just delete what I've already downloaded and move on.
