One thing is being forgotten with Sonokinetic I think, they not only gave away 120,000 Euros of product, they had to pay 4,800 Euros to do it. So they gave the product away, and they paid for the lucky people to get licensed. Amazing company which is overly generous during the holidays. Bring on the next Ostinato!

Does this have to do with Kontakt Player?GoldieK wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:04 pm One thing is being forgotten with Sonokinetic I think, they not only gave away 120,000 Euros of product, they had to pay 4,800 Euros to do it. Ha ha. That was the most insignificant line, and meant as a joke. Read the rest...it will be worth your while. I was really commenting more on how we take "freebies" and treat them disrespectfully.Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:00 am Bitter jealousy? Where do you get that?
They wasted my time. I don't like that. But if you must cheerlead for the company, I won't stop you. You do you.
They are what they are. No disrespect to you.

Hm, I think this "freebie" is not a good customer friendly thing. It was sold out in less than 1 hour.
They could also just charge the license fee from NI/Kontakt and make it 5€. Then they would not have the expense, and could give at least some more licenses away, that it would hold out at least an hour without having big losses from the fee.
Additionally not that much people would grab it if it costs a bit and the license would last longer for people who really would love to get it for that low price.
I understand they can not give it for free forever, but these limited availability strategies keep me away from that company.
I much prefer one time intro discounts of <50% or more, like others do, instead of total freebies, but they decide. I was not happy about it now being only 33% off after less than an hour either.

Since when is a freebie a bad thing?dermage wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 2:30 pm Hm, I think this "freebie" is not a good customer friendly thing. It was sold out in less than 1 hour.
Anybody remember the good old days where you had to continuously refresh the browser for 3 hours straight just to get in, and then not be able to complete the purchase and have to go back to refreshing the browser for another two hours? For some reason people complained less then.

I guess you understand what I mean. This "kind of freebie".
I'm totally ok with limited freebies, where the time-frame is known. Like if they say, today only, for 2 hours only etc. But you have to actually check here if you can still get it. As said, friendly to thew few that get in, unfriendly for the others. And of course it's a strategy to get you on their site to surf around, but the bad feeling I have when it's out after less than an hour makes me somehow attach that bad feeling to the company.

I would love to see buy day one or lets say day one to day five (pick one day) and get
Ibrido Favola for free. I would get day one for sure!
Thanks you Sonokinetic for the freebies and the great sale and even more so for the beautiful sounds!

If you have been following Sonokinetic for a while you pretty much know in advance when the freebies are coming (give or take a day). And you should be in there within the first 10 minutes to be on the safe side. This year it took a little over 30 minutes until the free licenses were gone.Kalamata Kid wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 3:11 pm I would love to see buy day one or lets say day one to day five (pick one day) and get

Right now I'm in two minds about the current $39 Chromophone 3 upgrade offer which ends 21st Jan. It just seems a bit much for not so much extra for me.
Do they tend to have upgrade offers in the Summer?
