It’s lowest since the last NI U-He sale when it and Diva were 50% off about 2 years ago

Get them all! I only can vouch for U-He's sound quality and stability of their synths. Also the company is very open about problems and further developments.
Got them all at some point.

I've talked about U-He.PieBerger wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:13 pmPretty hard to turn down a big company like NI when they propose another sale.martinjuenke wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:07 pmA hint how hard and challenging these times are for making a living in this market. Finally a U-he sale! I was surprised they didn't do Black Friday this year but glad there is one now. Might pick up Diva for €90 but it's still a price where I have to think about it. I assume there are no ways to lower the price a little (NI vouchers are useless still?)

It's a global market and not all countries are equal... $29 sometimes is still too much in some places.. Not a real excuse, but it's a long run for some people.Tricky-Loops wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:22 pm Are there really much less warez/cracks than many years ago?
I'm not in this scene at all but my impression is that the problem is still there. They would even crack a $29 plugin just as a challenge...

They've had about 10 sales in 15 years, including a similar one with NI about 18 months ago. Their usual policy is usually an intro sale on v1 with very few sales thereafter, a good amount of free updates and then cheap upgrades to v2, v3 etc.

Not me, but talking about Toontrack since we discussed earlier, I think the current holiday deals should actually be titled "horrible" deals. Except probably the Day 1 Cinematic Grand deal, which still not great was relatively the best. After that: Reggae EZX, Some metal drums MIDI, Reggae EZkeys MIDI... seriously, wtf?soundbylaura wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:45 pm Wasn't someone looking for the Latin EZX on sale?

Looks like I am not going to get any better deal on the things I am after.

Yeah I get it, I bought them over the years and really zero regret.ScrLk wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:43 pmNooo there's other things I need more :/dermage wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:42 pm Get them all! I keep coming back to Zebra, Hive, and mostly Repro. Diva is default on my main template, so my workhorse synth. Also the effects, especially Colour Copy, Presswerk, Satin get used alot.
It's just fun working with them, because they just work, have a easy serial protection, have great skins (also third party skins by plugmon are super awesome).
And now I'm working with DIVA Ctrl (beta testing) which makes it even more accessible.

They are really good, you're right. I am most considering Repro, I'm just a little iffy on it using more CPU than Diva I believe.dermage wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:55 pmYeah I get it, I bought them over the years and really zero regret.ScrLk wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:43 pmNooo there's other things I need more :/dermage wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:42 pm Get them all! I think prices were higher and there were fewer companies around (lots of 2/3 developer shops around these days).LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 12:18 pm Indeed.
But I am also wondering how did companies make money like a decade ago when people probably pirated more than I assume they do now.
