I would love a way to quickly use multibsnd dynamics that respond in a more musical level when doing quick band splits.

Using Psycho-Acoustic prefiltering get half way there, but is a bit too pronounced. Most of the time when using multiband compressors (especially on mastering) we are trying to get a pink noise profile.

I don't know if this is relevant, but the crossovers between bands seem to default to 24db/octave. This can be changed to as little as 6db/octave. Maybe you already know that, but since I don't know your level of knowledge, I figured that I might as well mention it.
* I'm no professional, but I'm guessing that the most gentle slope available would be
the best for mastering. Does that make sense?

Thanks. This is a different thing though. It's more about being able to define a kind of slope over the audio input into the whole spectrum. The kinda like an EQ as internal sidechain to change the way bands respond. There's a fundamental issue with multiband compressors where the threshold needs to be different as the energy within the higher end of spectrum is less. So the ability to prefilter the audio by a slider to effectively tilt the EQ would make multiband processing WAY easier

Hmmm, doesn't threshold do exactly that?
