Yes this true I do not like a compressor from give

Hive's compressor is secretly based on a rather popular compressor design out there. The phase shift is deliberate and improves the "compressibility" of the signal.

(also... I've seen numerous video tutorials on Youtube where people explain how to achieve similar results using two or three separate plug-ins... there's no need for that in Hive if you're seeking "that" sound.)

For what I know, Presswerk can intentionally shift the phase of low frequencies (the DPR mode)

Maybe the Hive compressor does soemthing similar?

I like this compressor in certain situations, in can make the sound really "in your face".

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Looks like a crossover is involved, perhaps it's a multiband compressor.

Nah, it's a single band. But yeah, band splitters are what many people use to achieve that kind of phase shift.

I like Hive's compressor very much. Can Presswerk do exactly the same?
or maybe some other compressor plugin, since Urs mentioned it's based on some popular design?

Yes, Presswerk can work very similar to Hive's compressor. Enable the DPR button. I'm not sure what other settings you'll need to change to make Presswerk match Hive's compressor. It's pretty close in the default init setting, after enabling DPR. Hive's compressor has a release curve characteristic I wasn't exactly able to match in Presswerk, after trying for a few minutes, but I got pretty close.

Great, thanks, this might be what i need.

You mean Presswerk or a Hardware compressor?
(But it's OK to keep it secret).

It's a secret...
