Picked up Waveform today in the sale. Fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04.1. I installed with dpkg -i and it complained about a few missing dependencies (ffmpeg and xjadeo). Looks like Waveform wants older versions that aren't compatible with Ubuntu. Anyone running into this and can you suggest a fix? I'm not partial to Ubuntu so if people are using Fedora or Arch and have it working well please let me know.

Well...welcome to the Waveform family and forum. Hope you'll stick around.

Thanks! Enjoying it so far. I switched to Linux Mint Cinnamon and it's working great. Might try Arch as well with Plasma to see which works best. What's everyone using as their distro and how is it working? And are you using Windows VST successfully or are you using Linux native plugins? Also are you using PulseAudio or Jack?

Merry Christmas!

I'm a standard Ubuntu (20.10 presently) user and I use Jack with PulseUadio passthrough. The VSTs I use are mostly native but there is the occasional Windows VSt I use via Yabridge. All my music data and projects is stored on a NAS and shared to me PC via NFS.
Other than that, its pretty standard, I use a Yamaha AG03 mixer, M-Audio Axiom Air32Mini controller and Mackie reference speakers.
Waveform runs well on my set-up. It looks great on my 4K monitor, much screen real estate for seeing as much of my project as I can.
Making Bitpop music....
