Limiting the amount of filter cutoff in Diva for a midi controller

Hello! I use a Wind Controller sending Midi CC2 to control filter cutoff. Therefore I assigned Midi CC2 to Control A - and this to the filter. Is it possible to limit the max. value of the filter to 60 or 70% within a Diva preset (means: max. CC2 = 60% filtercutoff).

you can't set a min and/or max value in Diva itself. Most DAW's however have the option to set this.gonzomaster wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 11:16 am Hello! Thanks for your answer. That could be a nice feature for an update.

There is another way in Diva itself though. You can use a modifier on the filter itself. Change env or lfo mods to control a or b and set the right max amount that way. You can set control a/b cc's in the settings

Can you post a screenshot (or do some further explanations) to explain this possibility? Thanks!

The mod controls at the filter can be changed by pressing the words and choose some mod source out of the list. You can change those 2; env and lfo. You can set it to control a for instance. Like i've shown in the screenshot. Then, in the settings you can change the CC number of that control. Standard control a = CC2.gonzomaster wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 5:31 pm "Change env or lfo mods to control a or b and set the right max amount that way."

If that is set up, you can lower the cutoff and set the modulator at a value that is suitablenfor your needs.

Thanks for your help. At first try, this "method" seems to influence the sound also in other ways. But it is definitely an interesting option. I will further try.

If that changes more than just filter cutoff, then Ctrl A is also used for something else in that patch, check out all other modulation inputs for the Ctrl A label, and remove that modulation if you don't need it.
Cheers!

Or whatever you switched it from was doing something and no longer is...The unshushable Coktor wrote: Sat Dec 26, 2020 9:16 pm If that changes more than just filter cutoff, then Ctrl A is also used for something else in that patch, check out all other modulation inputs for the Ctrl A label, and remove that modulation if you don't need it.
