I mean the keyboard shortcuts will probably be a minor pain in the ass in the beginning, but once I work that out it should be a breeze to use. The only issue is that it doesn't read VST3, which kind of sucks, but hopefully, they're going to add it at some point. Gonna register at their forum and ask them for it alongside other users. VST3 is probably where things are gonna go later down the road, so it really makes sense to include that in future updates. But yeah, I love the simplicity of Renoise, seems like my kind of "DAW", very cool. :tu:

Worth mentioning for anyone thinking of jumping in that VST3 support is in the current beta and the stable release is apparently due any day now. That being added pretty much made up my mind to switch.
You mean current alpha , renoise beta releases are always open to registered users and it's not in the wild yet :tu:

Oh, so they're working on VST3? That's swell, then I'm definitely switching to Renoise, no question about it. Superb.

I primarily use Renoise for my strictly electronic music. It feels more intuitive for me in general, latching notes make it easy to enter sequences, arps, loops, drones, etc. and I like the fine quantized control per note.

I must have missed that one , it's the first time they do this
In the past , beta releases and bug fixing was always a community effort .

I finally bought Renoise after using the demo for a few years. I’m going to put off my annual Bitwig subscription upgrade. I wish I would have bought Renoise sooner. I really dislike the piano roll that most daws have.

I’m actually doing the opposite, I’ve used Renoise for 15 years and still there are so many features that are found on every other daw which are missing from Renoise, and because of that there are for example certain sound libraries that are unusable. I started watching bitwig tutorials and got the trial running. Renoise would be awesome if there was a team working in it full time, but one update a year where none of the requested features are implemented is just not enough. Renoise should be renewed instead of keeping everything the old way just because.

If you want to be stuck in the past and hate progress, then why not.
