Oh wow, thanks TJ, that's the synth I've been so excited about comin out but can can never remember the name of! Very cool.
Doesn't do Linux though. That's too bad, here's hoping he'll port it at some stage.

Plasmonic is excellent! Physical modeling synth with deep modulation possibilities. I also like that MPE is configured globally.Tj Shredder wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 11:11 pm Brian Clevingers new baby Plasmonic is released, its a brilliant synth and supports MPE...

Plasmonic joins Equator 2 as best of the MPE synths IMO.

The manual is part of the download. It's accessible in the synth from the pulldown menu just to the right (inverted triangle) of the big "Plasmonic" at the upper left.

I've added Plasmonic to the Recommended Sounds page, MPE synth listing.

Just wanted to give another thumbs up to Vital. Finally downloaded it tonight and I find it to be shockingly good for a free soft synth. Also quite easy to design very cool sounds quickly and the MPE implementation seems very good. Since I am not allowing myself to make music purchases right now, it's nice to have such a great new toy to waste time with.

I hope that the Prophet Rev2 gets MPE support as well. I would love to be able to have a stacked patch and use X to modulate between the two layers in the stack.PHY6 wrote: Tue Jan 05, 2021 4:39 pm The Ob 6 & Prophet 6 have just received an MPE update...fantastic !!!

Not sure if it has been mentioned but TAL's new Jupiter-8 emulation, Tal J-8, is MPE compatible.
Like all of the Tal synths, it is a simple implementation where aside from the pitch bend, there is only the option of filter modulation by Y-axis and amp modulation by pressure.

Thanks, Echoes. I've added J-8 to the Recommended Sound page's MPE listing.

Implementing MPE properly seems to have proven a challenge for hardware synth manufacturers, even on synths designed with said functionality in mind. Retrofitting it into the OB-6 and P-6 is sure to be fraught with issues, and Sequential/DSI has never been very organized or accountable when it comes to ironing-out the finer wrinkles in their operating systems, especially when it comes to the more esoteric edge-cases.
And while I must admit that the OB-6 and P-6 sound fantastic (particular the OB-6, I have to say), they're a little light on modulation for anyone looking to get the most out of expressive control.
Cheers!

Very excited about the Sequential announcement. The OB-6 desktop module sounds like a great companion for my Linnstrument. I can't wait to hear it with the vintage slop. <<drooling>>
