Yes, exactly! The Nerdy Music Guy wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 11:41 am But the Zebra 3 equivalent of the OscFX would still work on those? That would be amazing!
Will Zebra 3 be able to load samples?

Urs wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:19 amBut of course!
Apart from "Morph" and "Blend" there'll be something like "wav/uhm" as an option. Unlike former it will not offer editors, because like Hive, we don't want to store megabytes of wavetables in the presets.
Very cool!Urs wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 2:36 pmYes, exactly! The Nerdy Music Guy wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 11:41 am But the Zebra 3 equivalent of the OscFX would still work on those? That would be amazing!
Probably it's time to start learning how Uhm scripting works, if I'm lucky I'll cope with that just by the moment Zebra 3 hits.

It is not too hard to learn enough to be able to tweak existing Uhm's... at least in basic ways... plus there are enough of them already that do so muchrecursive one wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 3:01 pm Probably it's time to start learning how Uhm scripting works, if I'm lucky I'll cope with that just by the moment Zebra 3 hits.![]()

I'm after certain specific FM/PM tones. Iirc there was a manual somewhere on this forum how to script FM stuff, i'll try this out at some point.pdxindy wrote: Fri Dec 25, 2020 5:45 pmIt is not too hard to learn enough to be able to tweak existing Uhm's... at least in basic ways... plus there are enough of them already that do so muchrecursive one wrote: Thu Dec 24, 2020 3:01 pm Probably it's time to start learning how Uhm scripting works, if I'm lucky I'll cope with that just by the moment Zebra 3 hits.![]()
Other than that I'm pretty much happy with the fatory Uhm content in Hive. I also use the Virus TI wavetables but that's mostly because of my fond memories of Virus

Can Hive 2 not do this currently Urs?
Can you please give us an indication what are the planned Features for Zebra 3 please Urs?

Yeah Hive can already do it. And I don't think the featureset has been fully decided yet.

The main feature that is planned is "consistency". The main reason we ever wanted to do this is to unify the different types of editors (Waveform, MSEG, ModMapper).surreal wrote: Sat Dec 26, 2020 2:19 pm Can you please give us an indication what are the planned Features for Zebra 3 please Urs?
Another big thing is related to modulation, which is the new ModMatrix (as seen in Hive) and going further in the emancipation of gate/trigger signals.

I understand Urs.. I am still battling to find the justification to go to Update my Zebra with The Dark Zebra..eventhough.. sound design with phsical modelling is an avenue I want to learn... maybe its just overkill considering that I already Have Diva, Hive, ace and repro and zebra and have not expored Zebra to its fullest.. maybe my mistake is that I should maximise the Uhe synths I have and not run after new and enhanced features when the music I am producing is really basic..eventho7gh the sale is so tempting... I can't seem to find a preset list for the dark zebra..and not cinematic at the moment.. I am really into 80s syntheave, pop and 90s dream trance and europop. I really love cinematic and ambient electronica and wanted to learn sound design..

Yep but only casually in passing rather than confirmed being worked on
