Life is Life from Opus

Post

On my way to work this morning "I want to ride my bicycle" by Queen rammed itself into my head (it's still there now four fking hours later :x :x :x )
It occured to me that no one has dared mention this "classic" yet, so it gets my vote.

I think I'd rather go skinny dipping in a cess pool than listen to that ever again.

actually, there are lots of worst songs of all time.. :D

today i have Take My Breath Away, Berlin in mind. :help:

That 80's song "do the locomotion". That is some shite that turns my stomach.

Anything by Aerosmith in the last 25 years is absolute garbage.

Back then I had this conspiracy theory against Stock-Aitken-Waterman that they only had one actual singer and a harmoniser. Pitch-up = Kylie, Pitch-down = Rick :nutter:

To name just a few contenders:

My all time most despised:
Why do birds suddenly appear, Every time you are near... :smack: I hate it. It gets stuck in my head. It's the most godawful piece of sappy crap.

Anything Christian Rock. Quote from King of the Hill "Can't you see - you're not making christianity better, you're just making rock'n'roll worse"

Anything Elton John (I can't believe they knighted him - I mean for god's sake - Elton John a knight!)

Who let the Dog's Out

2Unlimited's the Workaholic (and all they're other "songs"!)

Mr Big's cover of Cat Steven's Wild World - if there was ever a more innappropriate showing off of how fast you can play the bass guitar it was in a cover of that laidback song.

And Country Music - Especially these Australian Country Gems:
Jam Jar (Pappa's on the roof fixing up the tiles, mama's in the kitchen cookin up some pie, mmmm my-oh-my)
and "Big Truck's are Rolling into Tamworth" - I have never heard this song and never want to - the title is by far bad enough.

I heard about that theory - Kylie=Rick on 45, Rick=Kylie on 33. Makes sense to me.

What about:
That's My Perogative - Bobby Brown

It's just a lot of arrogant and vitriolic spew--disguised as a song. :(

later,
McLilith
I love Bobby Brown's original version of that song. 8)

It's the Britney Spears remake that really sucks! :(

Post

I just can't believe that we can have a list of worst songs ever without mentioning Kajagoogoo or their only hit "Too Shy":

You're too shy, shy
hush, hush, eye o eye
Tooooo, shy, shy,
hush, hush......eye n eye

In a word: WACK!!!! :(

Post

What was the name of that first song from Boy George and the Culture Club? Never liked it, drove me crazy, and they played it ALL THE TIME! :x
