Waveform 10 Free to 11 Basic Upgrade not allowed?

Hello,

I have a Waveform 10 Free license in my account and I saw the 50% sale on upgrade options so I tried adding Waveform 11 Basic Upgrade to the cart but the website told me that I wasn't allowed to and that did require a Waveform 10 license.

I read about other customers that upgraded from the Free version to the Basic ... did that change ?

If you could get discounted pricing for upgrading from a free product to a paid version, why would anyone ever pay full price for the product? Not sure in what world it would make sense for a company to offer that... users could just get the free product then upgrade to pay less.

Then how comes there have been customers reporting to have upgraded from the free version?

Tracktion does offer this from time to time, as do most developers. We can all name a handful that I doubt anyone has ever paid full price for. Contacting Brian at Tracktion is the best way to go about it. I think the bigger concern is getting a 60% discount then turning around and selling it here for 15% off full price.
