Also. Am I the only one who'd be happy doing a couple more months of Vital contests?

/edit/
Just saw the people saying they DON'T want Vital again.. Ok ok.
I'll just say I really enjoyed programming with it. It's one of those synths that, after getting oriented to its structure, felt so natural and intuitive that I just want to create sounds for it for hours.

Don't misconstrue: Vital is quite awesome. I believe it to be the best synth ever to be used in OSC, and it's launched itself into the upper echelon of all synths ever! It's not perfect, but it is really a joy to use for most stuff. My opposition to immediately following this month with another Vital month is simply because I think OSC should continue to have the variety that has made it such a great contest & community over the years. Of course people are free to make songs outside of OSC... including working on that one Vital track that will blow away all others, for when it is picked again.jasinski wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 11:22 pm Also. Maybe the best way to please everyone in January is to do an Any Synth Challenge.

Yeah i've got Intel integrated graphics which doesn't support OpenGL which Viper uses. There's a hack but it doesn't work with Bitwig. The hack works with Cakewalk so i had a few days of that but i didn't enjoy Cakewalk.MilksterX wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 10:12 pmThat sucks not being able to use it. Did you get anywhere with finding out why?Spring Goose wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 9:15 pm I don't want Vital again for next month. Vital doesn't work on my computer. Obviously i haven't tried Vital yet, and i'm new to Osc, so i don't really understand what the excitement about Vital is.
Edit: I was using Helm with the OpenGL hack/fix with Cakewalk. Helm works with the hack/fix. Viper doesn't work with the hack/fix. Somebody said i can use Helm instead of Viper.

My immediate Vital rematch was more of a tounge-in-cheek suggestion meant to show how much I liked it. But yes, and eventual rematch (maybe when Matt launches an update?) would be awesome.

Yes, using the pitch template and having a base note and a chord creates some really interesting arp sequencing, i would have probably done this if i’d known about it earlier in the month. In fact what i’ve discovered since finishing my mix is highly interestingkeith303 wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 11:10 pmYou should most definately give Vital a more in depth shot, it's one beast of a softsynth ! The first one which truly radiates that "everything is possible" feeling for me. I'm sure Ciri will be fine without your help the next four daysz.prime wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 10:35 pm maybe the next few days will let me do that this month! But oh, Witcher 3, you entice me so...![]()

I'm sorry, I mean, it's also fair to take that point of view into account. But the translator decided that fair and true are synonyms, and I missed this error.Spring Goose wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 12:32 amWhat is also true?IV! wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 9:56 pmHowever, it is also true.Spring Goose wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 9:15 pm I don't want Vital again for next month. P.S. I don't know English very well, so sometimes I make such mistakes.
