A great Thank You to Bo Astrup that came to the rescue with the patch itself!
But how about doing this as a tutorial in the near future Urs or Howard? Maybe a few tutorials on doing this same sound on Ace, Diva, Repro and possibly Bazille?

The sound requires audiorate PWM and Sync. From our offerings, only ACE and Repros can do it. Repro-1 might have a particularly good chance because it can use JAWs' envelope for the pitch sweep.surreal wrote:But how about doing this as a tutorial in the near future Urs or Howard? Hmm - indeed, fractalize could simulate the "sync".sqigls wrote:not possible in Bazille??

Thanks, the patch LASER HARP 2 by Andrea is very close.
Why audiorate? IMO every synth with Hardsync and PWM should be able to do it.The sound requires audiorate PWM and Sync. From our offerings, only ACE and Repros can do it.

Nope. The Synthex has DCOs. Therefore, they could not do FM. Hence they added Osc->PWM as a means for creating harmonically rich spectra similar to FM.Chris-S wrote:Thanks, the patch LASER HARP 2 by Andrea is very close.

Any PWM-enabled synth can do this patch only if the LFO can track the keyboard and go into audio range.
(what I'm saying is, the Laser Harp sound isn't just Hardsync with a bit of PWM... otherwise no-one would be discussing the sound anywhere)

Does someone have a patch for Repro-1 or Repro-5?Urs wrote:only ACE and Repros can do it. Repro-1 might have a particularly good chance because it can use JAWs' envelope for the pitch sweep.
