Your opinion about Zebra 2

Wow, could it be me not RTFM and not finding the fx buses on Zebrify when demoing? My apologies if I did so. I will edit the message when I verify it later.
That would be good news and definitely a very strong reason to get Zebra 2, as it gives me something unique I don't have. I have been wanting a streamlined 64 bit replacement for CamelSpace.
EDIT: yes, the fx is in the same matrix on Zebrify. So I didn't look for them on the right place.

I can't seem to find a way to modulate the glide rate with a modulator such as Lfo1, ArpMod, or something similar. I see that I can assign glide to X1, Y1, and so on, but that's all. I can't target glide with crosshairs from the "X/Y" tab or the mod matrix since it isn't visible when those are visible. It would be very nice to be able to modulate the glide rate! For example, when using the arpeggiator, it might be useful to have different glide rates at different points in the sequence.
Am I overlooking a way to do this? Obviously, I can use host automation, but it might be nice to do it inside of Zebra so that it can be part of a preset.

It's a target in the mod matrix.JO512 wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:22 pm I can't seem to find a way to modulate the glide rate with a modulator such as Lfo1, ArpMod, or something similar. Ha, you are right, it doesn't work. I'm pretty sure I used it in the past, though, but I'm not 100% on that.

Typically that happens when Glide is set close to zero, and the pitch has already reached its target before Glide could be modulated. Chicken & Egg, kind of.gondii wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:30 pm Yeah I saw that, too. But when I'm modulating it, it doesn't seem to respond..
Whenever possible, set Glide to the maximum you wish for, and modulate down towards zero. This way the modulation "takes hold" while pitch is still close to where glide starts off.

Ahh, that actually makes sense! (we have the exact same problem in Surge, so I should have thought of that).Urs wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:34 pmTypically that happens when Glide is set close to zero, and the pitch has already reached its target before Glide could be modulated. Thanks so much! I didn't even realize I could right-click there and select from a list instead of using the targeting crosshairs!

OK thanks, definitely working now.Urs wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:34 pm Whenever possible, set Glide to the maximum you wish for, and modulate down towards zero. This way the modulation "takes hold" while pitch is still close to where glide starts off.

The Soft synths that I regard as vintage are the really early stuff like Synth1 (2002), Model-E and Subtractor (2000). Zebra only came out in 2006. If you were born in 2006 you'd only be a junior in high school.TheSynthScientist wrote: Tue Dec 29, 2020 10:24 pm I wonder if its too soon to call Zebra a "vintage" synth.
