There appears to be no way to trigger "replace" button from MIDI/automation.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

In the standard MSL plugin, Reaper finds it as an automation parameter for me, and also it is available in MSL's internal MIDI Settings.

Replace is a nice feature, but there are currently some issues with it. I'm finding it difficult to do any replacing without causing a mess of clicks and pops, so it probably needs a fade control.

Also, when you select it from the parameter list as in the second gif above, it'd be great if it were in the sub-menu for each track, rather than on the global list. I'd love to be able to replace onto a specified track that's not the track I currently have selected. I almost managed to hack this behaviour with a multiparameter, but it doesn't quite work. Keep meaning to make a video on this, so I'll try and get around to it soon.....

Never mind, i was expecting it to be in the beginning of the list (in ReaLearn), but it seems that automation parameter numbering is a mess and some of the global parameters are further down the list.
