Have you tried changing it to one of the firewalled modes?UnderwaterSunlight wrote: In Reaper 4, problems as well, here it crashes the host frequently when opening a project that contains it.
Alternatively do you have NI Kore 2?

I just recently installed the demo/trial versions of PSP and H5 on my system.
I immediately got crashes in the H5 stand-alone and 'garbled' problems in my DAW (Sonar) for both.
With some digging around in the preferences, I found the problem was the Steinberg driver - which wants to override all other drivers and even eliminates being able to choose the others. Now in the standalone I could set the driver to my soundcard but it would still produce intermittent noises and reset itself on each new opening. When I removed the Steinberg Asio driver from its folder to my desktop, everything went back to normal and all issues disappeared. BTW my other Asio driver is by MOTU and is absolutely necessary for my PCI424/24IO to work and to show properly under my DAW.
Steinberg Support got back to me fairly quick on this also and confirmed I could also safely remove the driver folder from my registry (and no, the driver does not show in Device Manager or Installed Programs to Uninstall).
Anyway, I hadn't noticed if the OP mentioned their interface or if it had specific drivers associated to it, but I thought it might be something for them to check for here.

Looking for a more up to date answer to this query.......
I am so fed up with Padshop pro - i've had it for years but i can never get it to run properly without it bugging out, or running into other issues.

There is a longish and recent thread on granular plugins:frank1985 wrote: Sat Jan 02, 2021 5:05 pm Looking for a more up to date answer to this query.......
