Your opinion about Zebra 2

I love the Dark Zebra Resonator!!

o well, why not share that i own my first u-he synth! yes, the Zebra2 + The Dark Zebra, why not the full monty. and i can play the dark knight in the holy grail.. that is more my kind of sounddesign, i think...

it is indeed a sounddesign monster. which i will tame and not tame at the same time, the next weeks..

I just grabbed Zebra2 and Dark Zebra, along with Diva and Repro. Diva and Repro look familiar, so I was able to dive right in. Zebra, I've only dabbled with and tweaked some presets. But it sounds as good as advertised.

I'm not great with modern synths, so it may take a while for me to get acquainted with Zebra. Until then, I'm happy to tweak presets. The only other modern synth I use is Pigments, and I never got to deep into it.

In addition to u-he's tutorials for Zebra2, any good Youtube sources anyone would like to recommend?

I usually don't watch videos (too much small talk for my taste), but this one seems very well done, sticks exclusively to the point without diversions, and doesn't last for too long.

This format is a winner, IMO.

What are your favorite ways to make Zebra sound a bit more bright and full besides ditching it for Hive or Diva? Even the most aggressive Zebra presets sound tamed, like they sit far back with high end roll off. Maybe that's just its style or maybe I am just really bad with Zebra

Typically use "crisp" as oscillator renderer instead of "smooth". Use "Morph" waveforms rather than "Blend". That really is all there is to get absolutely full range brightness like in any other synth.
