I saw that the SMO + SM2 bundle was on sale at Plugin Boutique, downloaded the demos to try at home tonight and now it's over, typical

It sounds pretty good for wavetable stuff actually. The GUI was better than SM2 at least until the new update. Now SM2 looks good as well. You can listen to this audio demo here - https://newloops.com/products/synthmast ... -expansion

Anyone has a link to some great sounding SynthMaster One demos? The ones at the kv331 site sound pretty dismal to me. I have already Wavetable synths Z3TA+ 2, Massive, Massive X and Codex and right now SynthMaster One is free until January 4th. But if it can't compete with what I got I don't have the time for it.
Surely someone has done some great sounds for SynthMaster One?

SynthMaster 2 is a killer synth and one of my main workhorses...zzz00m wrote: Sun Jan 03, 2021 2:02 am
When I explore the expansions for Synthmaster by Big Tone and Nori Ubukata, I am blown away by their creative patches and their use of waveforms from legendary instruments to shape their sounds. SM seems to virtually have no limits in the right sound designers hands, as it can cover just about anything! Quite a chameleon!![]()
You can cover a lot of ground with that one ....
I prefer it to SM 3...
SM 1 shares a lot of the same DNA as SM 2,but it lacks the depth of what is on tap inside SM 2...
SynthMaster 2 is a serious powerhouse that is seriously underrated
No auto tune...

Out of curiosity, why do you prefer 2 to 3?digitalboytn wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 9:09 amSynthMaster 2 is a killer synth and one of my main workhorses...zzz00m wrote: Sun Jan 03, 2021 2:02 am

I haven’t used One very much, but I did use SM2 a lot when it was early in its development. One is easier to use than 2 imo, and it is free atm.
I’m not sure if SMOne could make this preset, since it was made in SM2 and was a bit complex. But it still sounds great and is easy to put together patches.

SM3 feels bloated to me....Benjamin923 wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 12:55 pmOut of curiosity, why do you prefer 2 to 3?digitalboytn wrote: Sat Dec 20, 2025 9:09 amSynthMaster 2 is a killer synth and one of my main workhorses...zzz00m wrote: Sun Jan 03, 2021 2:02 am

Like it's trying to be too clever....
It should be two different synths....
I thought that with SM2, they struck the right balance between function and form...
That one is perfect for me....
As a result,SM2 gets used ALL of the time, while SM3 just sits around looking fat and lonely while it tries to recover from a binge eating spree...
Anyway....that dark skin from Satya Tunes for SM2 sounds so damn good @ 140 %
No auto tune...

I just uploaded a no-talking preset walkthrough video for SynthMaster ONE. Hopefully it spreads the word and helps Bulent get more customers/revenue.
It's a long video. Can't help it since it has so many amazing presets. I had to discard some sounds to make it short. There are timestamps in description that you can click to move to a certain category.

SM One and Synthmaster 3 are amazing synths and I hope KV331 continues to evolve because I enjoy the products evolving and I like them being around. There is a charming character about their synths sound-wise. I think if they merged both SM One and Synthmaster 3 into one synth they would have a shiny product. I donno maybe that's dumb.

the trouble with SM synths is the modwheel causes stuck notes, even though a lot of presets have MW in the name - I can't believe they let this basic bug slip through and still not fix it

First of all, a correction: This issue would ONLY happen if mod wheel is modulating envelope attack/decay/release times. Other modulations would NOT cause such an issue. So please don't assume that every preset with mod wheel assigned would have such an issue
ALSO
I tested the preset you reported (LED Cool Breeze) with a complex midi file (KV331: Rondo Alla Turca

I know that UI/UX issues are preventing SynthMaster 3 to become a popular synth, so I have some ideas in mind to introduce more flexible UI choices for the layer view: Introduce different (narrow, normal and wide user interfaces for instance) for the osc/filter/modulation sources so that we can fit more of them on the screen. I will first introduce this concept with the release of the iOS version, and hopefuly the desktop version will follow next, around Q4 2026.twal wrote: Sun Dec 21, 2025 1:06 am I think if they merged both SM One and Synthmaster 3 into one synth they would have a shiny product.
