Summary Breakdown:
Very difficult buyer: Lastdirillo
1/2/2021 - Sold Lastdirollo Soundtoys Version 4 bundle with 3 extra little plug ins (little AlterBoy, Little Primal Tap, and Little Radiator) for $100. I paid $25 ilok fee, so really $75 is what I made.
Original reason for including additional "little" plug ins. Read that you could transfer these when you sell your Soundtoys Bundle by emailing Soundtoys when you transfer the bundle via iLok with no cost.
1. Soundtoys emailed me that they transferred the buyer Little Primal Tap and Little Radiator but not Little AlterBoy because it is version 5 not 4 and would cost $25 more to transfer.
*** Had I known this, I would have excluded this plug in, as it was free to me, and there is no value in paying the additional $***
2. The buyer then request $30 refund since Little Alter Boy wasn't included. Because it is on sale for $39 currently and he wanted to buy it.
(Meaning I would stand to make $45 total on my sell ($100 - $25 ilok fee - $30 refund = $45)
Please explain to me how a 'little' $39 plug in not in the Soundtoys Version 4 bundle that was free to me is worth 40% of the total KVR sale? Makes no sense)).
3. The buyer then informs he went ahead and bought Little Alter Boy from Soundtoys new for $39 and requested $20 refund to help with the cost. He kept mentioning that he wouldn't have bought the Soundtoys Veriosn 4 bundle if he'd known Little AlterBoy didn't come with it.
4. He started getting aggravated when I didn't think this was fair considering the little plug ins were just extras I included as a courteous bonus. 1 "little" plug in is not worth 40% of sale.
5. Then he kept threatening to report me and take action if I didn't meet his demands. At that point I said if you pay the transfer fee of $25 to transfer my plug ins back to me, I will happily take my plug ins back, resell them vs continue dealing with this drama. (Meaning he would pay $25 to ilok to transfer my plug in bundle back to me, once I saw my plug ins were back in my ilok account and the other little plug ins, I would then send him $100 back). He didn't move on it and a day or so passed.
6. I emailed him that I would refund $10 since Little AlterBoy (1 of 11 plug ins that were sold originally) wasn't transferred and (10 of them were) and actually ended up refunding him $12.50 instead of $10.
7. Then he kept saying I want a full refund. He wasn't being reasonable and just kept throwing demands and threatening negative reviews where as he was willing to make a positive review if I gave into his demands.
8. Then he wrote that I am untrustworthy and a liar, and whole lot of other UNTRUE things.
I have been a member of this forum for 8 plus years, him 2 years. I have never experienced such a negative/difficult buyer in my life.
I have sold and bought many plug ins on this forum and have never had such a negative experience. All my buys and sells have been positive.
The buyer emailed me close 20 times in a 2 day period. Edited his feedback post 39 times. That should tell you all you need to know.
