Oh I tried that one awhile back and it doesn't work in my Studio One for me. Maybe I'll try reinstalling or seeing if there's an updated version.Jkist wrote: Sat Jan 09, 2021 8:54 am Signalizer! Its free and its awesome: https://www.jthorborg.com/index.html?ipage=signalizer

Since these downloads are still called RC, are there any specific features or Improvements he is trying to get to before it is the release version?

Right now I am favoring the TAL J-8 but both are pretty tasty.

I really like the sound of it. It can get very big and bright, but also very deep too. Using the dual option makes for some huge, wide sounds!

Really enjoying the J-8, but it does seem to have one annoying issue in REAPER - any note exactly at the play cursor when you start playback doesn't trigger (same problem if you start playback midway through a midi chord - no notes will start). I think someone else reported this issue earlier on the thread. Hopefully can get this fixed soon.

I've had this same thing in Reaper with many other synths so not sure it is J-8.markheath wrote: Wed Jan 13, 2021 8:10 am Really enjoying the J-8, but it does seem to have one annoying issue in REAPER - any note exactly at the play cursor when you start playback doesn't trigger (same problem if you start playback midway through a midi chord - no notes will start). It does, I have mentioned this weeks back. I forgot if I actually e-mailed the issue to Patrick, but it's indeed a very real issue.

I finally checked this out today. Sounds really good.
Haven't dug into all the details yet, but I did notice the arpeggiator behavior is not correct. The actual Jupiter-8 arp plays notes in the order you played the keys in all modes (except random, of course). It's hard to describe in words exactly what that means, but Roland got the behavior right in the Roland Cloud (and System-8) version, so you can use that to see how it's supposed to work. The TAL version is just a basic arpeggiator that doesn't care what order you played the notes. The unique behavior of the JP-8 arpeggiator is one of my favorite things about it. Most modern arps have a mode that runs in the order you played the notes, but the Jupiter-8 is the only one I know of that does this in all of its modes (besides random).

Love the new patches from Himalaya - really nice.
However, I also just tried out the Swift Tuttle patches, and the first one (BASS_ARP_01_ST) consistently crashes my DAW. (Am using the v1.2.4 x64 VST in REAPER 6.19 on Windows)
