Hey,
I want to export a song to a mp3 file. Following the manual I just need to select mp3 as format. But there is no mp3 format to choose:

Similar functionality between .oog and .mp3, but they are not the same. I don't know if there is the same universal support for .oog that there is for .mp3 format.
That said, there is a relatively easy way to export .mp3 within Waveform - you USED TO have to download and add the lame_enc.dll (mp3 (free)) encoder on your PC - basically just a .dll; then alter a setting to point to it.
The current manual doesn't mention having to do that; and I can't find the setting; so presumably it could now be built-in (I think because MP3 is old enough that any patent is now expired).
Silly question - top of the dialog box there's a little dropdown arrow beside format - did you click that to select .MP3 ?

OP hasnt done themselves any favours by omitting what platform/version they're using.
An idiot on Set Theory:

On the WINDOWS version of Waveform 11, lame.exe is in the default c:\program files\tracktion\Waveform 11\ - I have another copy where I store all my Waveform-related .VST and projects, but this explains why (at least for Windows) there isn't a file location setting for LAME any more.
