(go to 36:30)
And also, how far they're from release you think? Reading the latest release notes it seems they're wrapping it up
No, I'm not talking about this. Have you watched the 36:30 of the video I posted? It's not really even mentioned here. It's like Bitwig's detail editor mode switching between 'clip' and 'track'.SLiC wrote: Sat Jan 09, 2021 7:25 pmLinked-track editing on audio and midi tracks was one of the headline features for me...
It has been like that for like forever, I'd say.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 09, 2021 6:58 pm I've noticed something in Slynk's video that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere: selecting 2+ clips (from the same track) and opening the editor shows both clips at once continuously as they are on the timeline! That's definitely not how v10.x works, right?
Oh thank god this feature/improvement has come along.New features and improvements:

The option to upload to SoundCloud has been disabled.
Not entirely. In Live 10 you can select 2+ midi clips but you can only edit one at the time. That's why in Live 10 the clips that are not selected are greyed out in the editor.ReleaseCandidate wrote: Sat Jan 09, 2021 10:28 pmIt has been like that for like forever, I'd say.antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 09, 2021 6:58 pm I've noticed something in Slynk's video that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere: selecting 2+ clips (from the same track) and opening the editor shows both clips at once continuously as they are on the timeline! Oh, you're right, I actually did use that feature in 11 already, IIRCRivanni wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:12 amNot entirely. In Live 11 all the selected clips in the arrangement view act as one midi clip. So you can select notes from the different clips and then for example transpose, quantize or apply a groove. You can't do that in Live 10.
It still shows and let you edit one clip's velocity at a time , also envelopes and mpe tabs get hidden when multi clips are selected. Would be great if they change this behavior.Rivanni wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:12 amNot entirely. In Live 10 you can select 2+ midi clips but you can only edit one at the time. Again - watch the video. I'm talking about 2+ clips selected FROM THE SAME TRACK.Rivanni wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:12 amNot entirely. Yes in Live 10 only one midi clip is highlighted and editable. The other is gray.antic604 wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 7:15 am Again - watch the video. I'm talking about 2+ clips selected FROM THE SAME TRACK.
Yet again, I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing.SLiC wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:32 am Different tracks/same track multi linked clip editing is new in 11.

NOT what I'm talking about, although I agree that this also changed (for the better) in v11
I think what I said is what you asked for. In Live 10 the second clip you marked in orange looks gray and they are in arrangement order.antic604 wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:44 amYet again, I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing.SLiC wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:32 am Different tracks/same track multi linked clip editing is new in 11.
When ableton says "linked" they mean the new feature of linking (grouping) tracks for editing, so that moving clips, editing fades, stretching clips is synchronised.
I'm talking about this, where you see consecutive clips on track in editor below. Before 11 you could only see one clip, or 2+ clips OVERLAID on each other, but now they're displayed in proper sequence:
