Wow, that's a lot of songs. Appreciate the listen and the feedback.Morgaxx wrote: Sun Jan 10, 2021 11:52 pm I have listened to all but this last one. So far I am impressed with the amount of work. Musically you have me quite convinced that I am hearing show tunes. My only gripe is that I find the music not matching the lyrical themes at times. I am impressed as this is a lot of work and you did really well with what I heard so far.
I personally find this type of thing to be your strong suit, and better done than most of your other projects.

My comments were toward this current project. I have heard a fair bit of your music, of various styles and commentwd a few times. But i certainly wouldnt or couldnt listen to it all, if thats what you mean. My point was that this is your better output in my opinion. We will see how the rest of the show goes.

wagtunes,
I listened to "You Gotta Be Unique" (like an aardvark?): I can picture the male vocalist onstage, whoever he might be.
I can picture some background dancers onstage. And colored lights. Very nice Broadway style melodies and harmonies! Instrumentally, everything sounds very good. Vocals fit the character in the musical play. Good job! Perhaps you could review my song "Way More To Me" before it disappears into the oblivion, at this link:

11th track from my upcoming CD "Jerry And Company"
Dixie sings about how she could be the girl for Jerry if he'd just notice.
Lyrics:
Someone Like Me
Here I am over here
Can you see me now
Or am I just a shadow to you
If I walked over coals
If I sang out of tune
Would my dreams of us dare to come true
What would you say to
Someone like me
Wrapped in your arms
Staring into your eyes
Dazzle you with my charms
Would you find me attractive
Sweep me off of my feet
Come to think of it that would be sweet
Someone like me
Falling for you
Holding onto you tight
That is just what I'd do
Would you dance with me gently
Twirl me round the dance floor
Dare I think of it and want for more
I know I'm the perfect girl for you
I know I can make you happy too
Instrumental Break
Repeat B Section
Someone like me
Marital bliss
With two children to feed
Can you imagine this
Would you dedicate your life
To our happiness dear
More I think of it...More I think of it
More I think of it...More I think of it
I want you here

12th track from my upcoming CD "Jerry And Company"
In this track, Jerry and the gang try to figure out how to get back at Stu for conning them.
Lyrics:
More Than One Way To Skin A Cat
There's more than one way to skin a cat
You gotta think with your head
There's more than one way to skin a cat
But you better be careful or you'll wind up dead
Trickery gets more trickery
You can't be a hickory dick or ree
Don't sit around just chewing your chicory
There's more than one way to skin a cat
Instrumental Break
Trickery gets more trickery
You can't be a hickory dickory
Don't sit around just chewing your chicory
There's more than one way to skin a cat
There's more than one way to skin a cat
You gotta be really smart
There's more than one way to skin a cat
And it's gotta come from the heart
So put on your thinking cap boy
We need a plan that foes will destroy
Then we can all sit around and enjoy
There's more than one way to skin a cat
There's more than one way to skin a cat

wagtunes,
Thank you for the reviews! Now your song "Someone Like Me": I might have told you I have known Tony Robbins since 7th grade. When he started walking on hot coals, that put him on the map. He gave me a giant coupon at my 20th high school reunion to do a hot coal walking seminar, but I traded it for something else (not wanting burned feet) in 1998: I saw him speak at the arena where the Anaheim Ducks play. Thousands of people were there. Donald Trump spoke at this event, I believe he was running for president then, but it seemed like more of a publicity stunt at that point in time. I never would have guessed Trump would actually become president back then. Anyway, the melodies on this song are very nice! The Vocaloid vocals are good. Everything instrumentally is nice! Once again I can picture dancers onstage. Very nice job!

13th track from my upcoming CD "Jerry And Company"
After Jerry tells Stu that he'll tank the project after being cheated, Stu and his goons sing about how you can't con a con and he'll beat Jerry in the end.
Lyrics:
You Can't Con A Con
He thinks he's gonna get the best of me
Well he's in for a surprise as he will see
You can't con a con
Because a con knows all the tricks
You can't con a con
A con will always get in his licks
I've battled many tougher than him
I'll punch his lights out till they go dim
The war now is on
You can't con a con
Instrumental Break
There's a law on the streets
It's a law I adhere to
It's not how you play the game
It's about getting your due
He may think he'll beat me
No way he will defeat me
He's yet to meet me
Cause you can't con a con
You can't con a con
You can't con a con
This won't end well for those three
They will bow down to me
You can't con a con
You can't con a con

14th track from my upcoming CD "Jerry And Company"
In this track, Jerry and Company try to put on the worst show they can possibly think of in order to sabotage Stu and his evil scheme. This song was tough to do. I had to make it bad enough to be obviously bad but not so bad that you can't listen to it. It's no "Springtime" but I think it's passable.
Lyrics:
Let Us Entertain You
Let us entertain you
Let us entertain you
We promise not to strain you
We will never drain you
Our Varathane won't stain you
So let us entertain you
2x
Boom boom boom
Boom boom, boom boom
Boom boom boom
Boom boom, boom boom
Are we having fun yet
We hope you do not regret
Take your doggie to the vet
At the track go place your bet
Look at my shoes
Don't they look peachy
Turn on the news
But don't get all preachy
Heaven has an opening for you
How you liking so far this act two
Come back when you've got nothing else to do
So we can entertain you
We won't try to train you
Let us entertain you

This one has character. Its the best so for as far as I am concerned. To me only the lyrics seemed purposely bad, which were actually good in that sense.
