Hi,

I just noticed that I can't change / select the sample size for exporting projects, for me it's stuck at 16-bit and I don't really know why. I have a NI Komplete Audio USB interface, so that should not be the issue I think.

Any idea what might be causing this ?

Its because you're exporting an MP3. Bit depth ('Sample Size' here) isnt really appropriate for MP3, and neither is Sample Rate; they work to a bitrate, which is effectively a 'composite' of the two, and the encoder can vary the 'current' depth/sample rate at any point over the file, even for a static bitrate. Plus there's variable bitrates (VBR)

And anyway, MP3 is a lossy codec. Even if you de-encode, what you get back is going to have a lower effective resolution/bitdepth than the 48K/16bit original.

Ah, I see. I'm rather new to this and I thought that I could also choose the Bit depth for mp3s aswell. By default it's set at 44.1KHz / 16Bits, but I can change the Sample Rate to 48Khz, thought it should work the same for Sample Size.
