Yes. It's a very capable synth. I really encourage you to delve deeper into it. It will be easy for you once you take it part by part.dellboy wrote: Fri Jan 15, 2021 5:28 pmI am mostly a preset + tweak type of person, yes.EnGee wrote: Fri Jan 15, 2021 4:47 pm
So Massive X is limited but Synth1 is not! You just use presets, right?
I find Synth1 very easy to program but find Massive X more daunting.
I have been playing around with synths since the 1980s so I know how to program normal synths, but Massive X would require a lot of time for me to get my head around and I have been very busy of late. So I have just been playing with the presets when I get the time.
So are you suggesting that it is capable of the same range of timbres that Synth1 does with ease ?
You can use it as a VA first. Ignore wavetables and PM. Use the Asimov or Monark filter after the oscillator and start minimum. Then begin to explore the other features one by one slowly. Read little about the new section then watch some videos on YouTube. That's the easy and fun way to learn something new IMO
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I forgot!
I forgot to take Massive X to the island. I just remember my Nintendo Switch

Oh, we surely don't want that to happen.
Don't mess with hippos, in Africa they kill more people than lions, crocodiles and snakes do.

i can't swim, so will probably avoid large water bodies, in the absence of anyone to save me if i fall in.
tbh, im not sure how im getting to the island? if the boat im on goes down, im screwed whichever synths are on the laptop
and don't fancy my chances from a plane crash.
unless it's the island in the local fish pond. i could wade to that
