I must admit I don't know that much about WaveLab. I've read some about it here, but is WaveLab a standalone or VST program?

Do you need Cubase or will this work in any host?

I noticed that Musicians Friend didn't mention anything about DVD writing, so this must be a pretty old version.

Anyway, I assume Wavelab is for writing Redbook format, if I understand right, for CD burning and normal CD playback, right?

Looks like I need to do some research before plopping down $99.

Version 5 is current. Version 3 (what you're talking about) is maybe 4(?) years old.
