Perhaps I've just been trying to look up the wrong terminology, but I'm attempting to audition alternative hi-hats in the multisampler tab of the layer source panel. Each time I select a new source, it resets all my mic mixer settings so if, for example, even if I want the simplest case of just a close mic with all the settings zero'd, I have to manually disable all the others, then reset the volume, panorama, and widening for that one which effectively means it takes over 10x as long to audition samples as it would if those settings persisted... and longer than that when you factor in that a proper A/B then also requires storing the final product of each in a separate tab since you can't effectively A/B something with 10 button presses between each item you hear.
Is there some way to lock that panel so that I can audition sounds without having to reset it each time? Other sections in the MultiSampler tab like the envelope seem to lock (persist when switching sound sources) automatically.

Personally I'd save it as components. That way you can easily switch between them and that includes every settings, not just mikes.
