For those with the beta, how is the shimmer effect on the hybrid reverb? Does it compare at all well with Valhalla shimmer in terms of quality?

I did an online course about 5 years that qualified for the discount. IIRC I either sent them an email or clicked a special link to apply for it and sent through a form that I got from the course tutor confirming I was enrolled. Pretty straight forward.
Nice, thanks.

You can get a bit more extreme with the Shimmer mode on Hybrid Reverb and the timing of the onset of the shimmer effect can start faster than ValhallaShimmer. ValhallhaShimmer has more options (as of course, it's a dedicated plugin) and the shimmer effect is very "smooth" not harsh or extreme.

They want me to upgrade my copy to Live 10 Suite for 295 and I'll get 11 free. I have the Sampler. I guess it wouldn't kill me to have a couple other synths & the convolution reverb. It wouldn't be a giant leap from what I already have in the toolbox. Do I want all that just for comping? Would I even be used to having it after *counts fingers and toes* 16 years?

If you don't feel you need it, then you don't need it.

Suite + 11 won't make your music better, just the process easier & faster.

If you're on the fence, you could always wait until after it's released, to try the demo (if you weren't able to get on the beta) and then grab it on sale in the summer.

I think this one is even cooler, as it can morph between parameter snaphots across whole project, not just signle rack. Just $20:

Morphing like Kore or Alchemy would be better

m4l macro routers can see the whole system for ex. https://maxforlive.com/library/device/3993/honey-mapper and their states can be added to the variations so dunno ( but I'm not a big AL user just a baby one :D )

so for ex. the target of the second honey-mapper is on a different track

So elegant it could pass fo a built in device. Adjustable cross fade and automation of snapshots is all I needed to make the new macro knob section killer.

It's not automatable natively? Huge oversight if that's the case :(

That's right, not automatable. It's like they only saw the feature as a live performance tool, or a way to store and audition macro 'presets' .

Wow, I never even thought to try it when I had the beta, because I assumed it would obviously be available for automation :dog:

Hopefully one of the next 11.x versions addresses that. Shouldn't be difficult, if there's already M4L device that does that.

I thought the same thing. Luckily Smooth Automator really does a solid job in the meantime.
